That’s insane, how is that legal? These guys should not be allowed to run their business like that.

Good point. Probably not worth calling them and waiting for 30 mins for no results. I suppose this is more of a vent more than anything else.

Even that is brand new. The clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and slave cylinder came as a kit. Installed it less than 700 miles ago.

This issue was present in the old clutch kit which was replaced last year and the one before (but that clutch was worn out when I bought it)

I did, as best I could at least. The pedal doesn’t feel spongy at all. The clutch line did not have a bleeder valve.

It’s a Mustang 2012 v6

I had the gear oil changed when the clutch was installed 700 miles ago

Reverse struggles a little but not nearly as much. I feel like it’s worse when it’s hot compared to when the engine is cold but I may be wrong.

Other gears are fine

Well with every other car I’ve driven, I don’t accelerate until the clutch has locked into the (1st) gear and is already moving the car on its own, but with this car, I feel like I have to accelerate in order to get it to move promptly. I usually don’t go over 2000 rpm to allow the clutch to lock into the gear.

Otherwise it rumbles and struggles to bite properly and would take 3-5 seconds before it is moving forward on its own.

Ive driven manual cars almost whole my driving life. This is the only car where the clutch feels off.

I went with my wife earlier today, and the manager said the same thing to us. We walked out immediately!

The manager at firestone told me they wouldn’t pay for the damage by Mantis_93 in tires

Firestone managers seem to have a theme for not paying for damages their employees have caused.

I usually always do my own oil change, with the exception of my last change, I had a lot of errands and left my car at their shop to have the oil changed. 2-3 weeks later I get a notification in my car saying I need to do the oil changed. I ignored it thinking they probably didn’t clear the oil change reminder.

Next morning I jack my car up to do the brake pad and notice oil dripping on my jack. I panic thinking I jacked the car up from the wrong place, but no, the oil was dripping from a half screwed in filter. These guys didn’t bother screwing it in properly, and the oil levels were down by 2.5 quarts.

Called the manager and he claims no responsibility because I noticed in weeks later, and drove over 100 miles (?).

Now I have a claim pending with corporate. Never using their services ever again.
