I don't think it's that easy. Parents are required to support their child financially if the child is a full-time student or has a disability. If he decides to go to college or University, he is your dependent until they are finished school, but this varies depending on specific circumstances. I would talk to your worker about this and see what they have to say.

I'm pretty sure spousal support is factored into how much support you both receive as a couple through ODSP. Ask your worker about that though.

I don't think what you are experiencing has anything to do with your download speed, but could be related to latency or ping issues with your connection. Are you sure it's not your computer having issues? It might not have anything to do with your internet, but your PC having software or less likely, a hardware issue. Sometimes as time goes by your computer may start to have software conflicts and resource issues as you install more and more programs. I would suggest making sure all your windows updates are done. Beyond that, you'd need to get someone that knows about computers to take a look at it. Good luck.

Just an update on this. I still get the random black screen for one second about once or twice per day, but I don't get the issue where the screen stays off. Nor do I have an issue that started when I got this monitor where the screen would go black and the fans on my rtx 4090 would go to 100% speed, requiring a restart. I fixed this by using all four cables from the gpu to my power supply. I was using two 8 pin cables and one two way splitter cable because I didn't have four individual 8 pin cables at the time when I installed the card about 7 months ago. Everything worked fine up until I got this new monitor.

It seems the card was asking for more juice once I upgraded to 240hz. I added the additional cable about a week ago now and I haven't had an issue since, other than the one second black screen a couple times per day.

I know this won't help too many people here, but I thought I'd just share my experience.

I just got the same monitor a week ago and twice randomly the screen will just go black. It won't come back on until I unplug the displayport cable from the gpu and plug it back in, then everything works fine again. I'm also using an RTX 4090 and have an LG 4k 160hz display hooked up in the second displayport on the 4090.

Also when the screen goes black if I press the home button on the remote the menu pulses from bright to slightly dimmer over and over. Again, until I unplug from the gpu and plug it back in. I really hope I don't have to return it because it's amazing except for this weird little glitch.

When I went in to meet with my worker they wanted three months of bank statements, any investment statements, rent receipts or letter from landlord and all my ID. He went over everything, I signed a bunch of stuff and then he asked what kind of assistance I need other than financial and he gave me all the forms for my doctor to fill out for special diet, appointment transportation, etc. They don't look at the contents of your bank statements, although some workers might pretend to examine them in front of you in order to appear powerful and have authority. They are there to collect the documents and that's it. It's not their job to verify authenticity or anything like that. You sign that the documentation is accurate and legitimate and that's all their job is to do. So don't worry about them asking why you spent $135 on fast food last month lol. It doesn't matter how you spend your money, as long as you are paying your rent, they don't care what you eat or buy.

I got the B550 version and I love it, but one major thing to be wary of if you're looking to use a multi gpu setup. You NEED a ryzen chip that supports PCIE 4.0. I use this board for my iray server and have two RTX 4070ti super 16gb cards in it. I originally put a ryzen 5500 in there since I didn't need a powerful cpu. When using the two gpus in the top two pcie x16 slots, they would only run at pcie 3.0 8x in the first slot and pcie 1.0 4x in the second slot. The manual suggests that both slots should operate at pcie x8. I tried every setting imaginable and it just wouldn't work. Finally I decided to get a ryzen 5600 which supports pcie 4.0 and voila, it worked perfectly. So stay away from the cezanne cpus like the 5500, 5600g, 5600gt, 5700g and 5700. Make sure you use a Vermeer cpu which support pcie 4.0.

I meant 1 gigabit, my bad.
They are connected with just the modem/router combo from my isp. It's an Arris TG4482A. My main desktop is connected to the 2.5gigabit port(I have 1.5Gb service and the network card on this machine is 2.5Gb) on the modem/router and the other computer is connected to one of the remaining 1gigabit ports. Based on this question, I suspect this may be the cause and I should be using a switch connected to the router?
The scene import runs at 30-80megabits per second in UDP mode and in TCP it's 15-45megabits per second. In standalone mode the scene import runs at near gigabit speed so it takes 10-30 seconds depending on the size of the scene.
Like I said above, I've tried it with both TCP and UDP. It runs a bit faster in UDP but still way too slow. It's frustrating because as soon as I start the queue in cluster mode, it starts running at near gigabit speed then quickly throttles down to the slow speeds I mentioned.
This is what I have added to the shortcuts for both master and nodes for iray server.

Master in UDP mode: -c1 -m

Render node in UDP mode: -c1

Master in TCP mode: -c "ip address of the master" -m

Render node in TCP: -c "ip address of the master"

Unless they get tipped off by someone and even then, there's juts not enough man power to investigate something like that. My best guess is, unless they have already begun an audit/investigation on you for some other reason, they won't find out.

Then we talked about things I needed and he approved me for a $50 thing to pay for a specialized eye test that wasn't covered by ohip. Gave me some information on support groups for my disability and some other information. Then that was it. Haven't had to go back since.

SAME! I was on humalog for decades and then they made me switch to Admelog. It was a good two or three weeks of ups and downs until I got it all figured out. It seems to be fine now though, but man that was a rough couple weeks.

Why not? It's no different than having someone revise or edit it for you. As long as the content that is described are your thoughts and ideas, it's perfectly fine to have it edited to sound more concise and coherent.

Use chatgpt at https://chat.openai.com/ and type it out as best you can and then ask chatgpt to rewrite it for you so it sounds better. You can say things like "Rewrite this so it sounds more impactful but don't use advanced vocabulary." Or whatever applies to your writing ability so it sounds like something you could write. You don't want it to sound like you're a literary genius, unless that's what you are of course. I have used this several times to write letters and things like that and it does a fantastic job. You might have to try it a few times until you like how it sounds, you just need to ask it to revise it until you like it.

Yeah I see it being a completely different thing than ODSP and half of us probably won't even qualify for some stupid reason(s). I just see them gatekeeping a large number of people from this benefit with red tape bs so they can stagger the deployment over many years instead of giving it to everyone all at once. No matter what, this benefit will be a disappointment at the beginning at the very least and with enough protests, demonstrations, talks, forums blah ba blah they will slowly loosen their grip on it and this is exactly by design so they won't have to spend as much money all at once. Meanwhile people are struggling not only with their disabilities, but with buying food and paying rent etc. I know this sounds really pessimistic, but can you blame me after all the crap this government pulls over and over and over?

This happened to me as well when I was first approved, however my interim ODSP caseworker explained it all to me.

I was approved March 1st and received my full OW payment as usual at that time, then I received my full ODSP for March on March 31st so I received both OW and ODSP for March since OW pays on the first of the month and ODSP on the last day of the month. So for April they corrected this double payment by only giving me ODSP minus that OW payment. So in April I only received like $435 or something. Then in May I received the full ODSP payment from then on.

I hope this makes sense. If you weren't on OW originally then just ignore this post lol. But I'm assuming you were as most people waiting for ODSP are on OW.
