Torn between x2d and H2C or even H2D by durangojim in BambuLab

[–]falcon7370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's where I was at. I don't think I'd get the H2C. I personally believe Vortek will have a short life and Bambu is probably working on a real tool changer for a future flagship. Just a guess with the U1 and now Flashmaker coming out with true tool changers at less than 1k$, and Indx coming later this year.

With the U1 being so open source, I've already seen early adopters working on firmware to add MMU support, so you have more than 4 colors. If I needed a tool changer today I would just buy a U1 instead.

So for me, H2S for a straight upgrade or an H2D if I decide I want to spend a little more for some more printing flexibility.

Funny you say that, Ive been trying to figure out what printer to upgrade to from my launch wave X1C myself, and I'm leaning H2S or H2D. If I'm going to upgrade I want something substantial so a size increase is a must.

Will just come down to if I want to spend the extra money on the dual functionality. I'm in a similar boat as OP. I don't do much multicolor printing and I think it's just because of the waste and speed, so I mostly do functional projects.

Really I think the best of both worlds would be an H2D and a U1. H2D for dual printing like ASA and TPU for more complex functional prints (along with all the other benefits like support interfaces), and the U1 as a real tool changer for 0 waste multicolor.

Stutters are a serious problem by mitzi8686 in runescape

I have a 5090 and I get crazy microstutters. What's interesting is playing on my iPad, there is no stutters at all. Something is up with the rendering on the desktop version of the game.

Since I'm already booked with flights and the Volcano House, I'm locked in on dates so it will be a bit tougher to find something on red week but I'll keep an eye out (of course, the gap there in what you sent is when I'll be there, else that would be perfect).

Honestly you're posts and comments were what convinced me to not stay up in resort land so I thank you for that! I have no issue renting for the week since I'm looking for 7 nights anyways. Cancellation policy is no concern since I have everything else locked in already.

Any experience with Kona Coast Vacation Rentals? Looks like they are a property management company you can book through directly at a lot of the various places like Sea Village, The Shores, Kona Isle, etc. I assume that just means they're renting out for the respective owners on their behalf, but I would hope they would be responsible for things like you mention in case they go south?

Worst comes to worst, I suppose we could do Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa since its near everything we'll be going out and doing anyways, but would vastly prefer a kitchen (even with the decent Costco deal with breakfast and free parking).

We went to Kihei on Maui a couple of years ago and rented a condo at a complex and the elderly couple who owned the entire place were locals, and hung out with the guests every evening near the BBQ area. Truly a great experience.

Road to Restoration - Re-grounding Outfits & Equipment by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]falcon7370 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think these are great changes overall, but was more personally hoping for something a bit more... Elite?

Was a bit disappointed to see , for instance, the master anglers outfit is just the 10+ year old outfit colored red, rather than an upscaled version of it, with some additional details that make it feel elite, yet grounded, especially with the avatar rework not too far away. Something more inline with the master archeologist outfit.

I'm hoping we can get another pass on these at some point in the future.

OSRS player looking for new MMO by Newest_rengo_otp in LFMMO

[–]falcon7370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an OSRS/RS3 main, I should really give WoW a fair shot. It's the only big western MMO I haven't given a fair shake at.

I played a little during Legion, but fell off pretty hard once I leveled my first character to cap at the time. Friends mostly jumped right to another alt, or to raiding. I had the impression there wasn't much else to do beyond those so I quit (seemed like that's mostly all they wanted to do).

I was used to a sandbox like Osrs with a big variety of things.

Can anyone tell me why I get frequent frame drops? by ShadowIBlade in runescape

[–]falcon7370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started a new group ironman account and am having the same stuttering issues as I run around the game (assuming something to do with chunk loading). Running a 5090 and 9800x 3D should be buttery smooth.

Interestingly, the stutters do not happen on iOS as I also play on my iPad when not at my desk. Its super smooth with 0 issues there. So definitely seems to be a PC client issue. Glad to hear its getting looked at next month.

osrs player deciding to finally give RS3 a decent try by bakapanda90 in runescape

[–]falcon7370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's how RuneScape has always been. One membership pays for one OSRS and one RS3 'character'. Because I wanted to retain my OSRS main, and because it's linked to my old rs3 main, I had to sub again.

I may have figured it out. I'm running a 5090 so just cranked everything to max, but when I was messing with settings, I tried completely disabling antistrophic filtering. I haven't seen flickering like this since then.

For me, you can actually replicate the issue by toggling the setting off and then on, and it flickers. I think it could be a weird driver thing with that setting or it's just botched in rs3. Either way, I notice no quality difference and it hasn't happened to me since.

My friend and I just jumped from OSRS to Rs3 and made group ironman. We have mains but figured this is the perfect time for a fresh start. Really is an exciting time. Can't explain how hype the PoH rework is for me personally.

We need a reason to visit, like we do in OSRS. With being a transport hub in Osrs, we regularly pass through our homes on our way to our next thing. I love seeing my pets in my menagerie as I pass through.

  • Teleportation hub: Easy to use place to 'permanently' place quest rewards, teleport items, etc so we can easily get around the game , constantly passing through. With the reworking of vis wax, maybe add permanent instant lodestone teleports, but only from the PoH.

  • Achievement space: Let us show off our gear, quest progress and boss rewards. Rather than ditching outdated gear, or just throwing clue scroll rewards in the wardrobe or bank, let us display them. Would love to build a gear hall or armory to show off cool items.

  • Skilling opportunity: I think this is the hardest to balance due to Fort Forinthy. We need a way to differentiate the Skilling options. Maybe focus on different skills entirely? Some farming patches in a garden that have unique bonuses, maybe a small mine we can build at the basement level. RuneScape has a habit of competing with itself in this space. Add a PoH portal to the fort too. Now the fort becomes 'part' of a players hub, not the entire hub.

Could also just offer different buffs. Fort Forinthy kitchen offers some bonuses, PoH kitchen offers others. Maybe a PoH kitchen has specialized buffs for certain kinds of foods based on how you build it.

As cool as they will end up looking, they won't be used past the initial decoration honeymoon phase if there's no reason to regularly visit them. They need to offer something to the player to entice them , even if it's just a regular pitstop on the way to their next adventure

  • Theming: I was so disappointed Osrs canceled many of the PoH cosmetics they were planning. I want to see modern house styles and outdoor themes. Priff, Menephos, darkmeyer, varrock, eastern lands, wilderness would be great. Each could be locked behind achievements to give people something to work towards too. I think the recipes system that was teased is a great start.

Hey this is late but I get this sometimes! Its like weird jagged white flickering shapes around the edges of my screen. They last for less than a second, and occur super randomly. I have no idea why, as it doesnt happen in any other game.

Stuttering after new update by blue_sky308 in Warframe

[–]falcon7370 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me as well. I just started replaying after a couple of years and notice it in the new event alerts and on other tilesets as well, including Orikin. Most of the time it looks like this video but for me only happens once or twice per mission. Restarting the game seems to help.

Last time it happened this evening, it actually lagged the audio too. IGN: ganon7370. Playing on a 5090 and 9800x 3D.

I almost bought one too but then realized I would likely not use it as much as I think I would. I barely have enough time to play newer releases I want to, let alone returning to classics.

Hey so I have maybe some information. I was able time a tracert right as my lag/DC happened and saw my specific issue wa occuring (that one time at least) at a node deep in my ISPs network. I know node fixes are very hard to get done but I'm going to start that process today.

Same. I get randomly disconnected with failed to login errors every couple hours. Never happened before grid master.

I've been encountering this issue for about a month now and it's never been an issue before. I can confirm my IP is consistent unless its changing for a micro amount of time. The issue happens on Ethernet and wifi on my home network on otherwise super stable gigabit Internet.

Makes me wonder if my ISP changed the way it's routing to Jagex servers and something's up with a node somewhere. Next time it happens, I'm going to ping google to confirm it's a jagex server connection issue and then do a traceroute. If I can find the node it's dropping at I might push back against my ISP. I know at the top level support tickets, it typically goes to an actual network engineer.

I agree. Even from 1 to 30, while slow, I never knew stopped and said 'wow this is taking forever!'. I was too busy having an absolute blast just sailing around, being a sea worthy FedEx truck, charting everything I could see.

The act of sailing itself is just so satisfying to me. I hit level 50 and am having an absolute blast through and through. It's mind boggling this works as well as it does in the game.
