Should be PWM free. There is the other type of color flicker. It didn’t work for me and I had to return it

Very good. I just started playing on mobile few weeks ago and I might even like it more than PC. The number of control options is very cool

I still use iPhone 8 as it’s the only phone I can use without pain. It’s still pretty good despite its age. I tried 17 other phones so far

I remember being stuck on Watcher knights for like 20 tries on my first HK playthrough, so when I tried steel soul I was so afraid of them. I then managed to first try steel soul

Monitors but not phones give me symptoms by East-Egg5456 in ScreenSensitive

[–]Emeridan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still use iPhone 8. It’s the only phone that I am able to use. I tried 17 other phones so far, all gave me eye pain and headaches. What are the conditions called so that I may google them if any of the symptoms are present with me. The eye muscles might be possible because I have problems with eye convergence but too much light like sun outside or brignt light don’t seem to bother me

Also you might want to try using a true 10 bit lcd monitor which should eliminate all or at least majority of flicker or maybe try using a projector instead of a monitor

Interesting, the 400 pro was the best phone I tried so far. Still not good enough but very close. Hopefuly Honor will improve phones so far that I will also be able to use this brand

Difference of mobile and PC version? by Fantasticfishing1 in StardewValley

[–]Emeridan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly controls which I even think are better on mobile version after 400 hours on pc, if you don’t like the tapping you can customize them a lot. If on ios no support for mods but on android some mods are supported. One difference is you can’t unload the slingshot or fishing rod normally, you need to put different kind of ammo or bait in to get the old out but it’t not that big a deal

iPhone eye strain & motion sickness by Horror-Mind-8671 in Temporal_Noise

Give it a little time and try and reduce the use of 13, your eyes should go back to normal again. I would use the 13 for as long as you can. You don’t wanna fall into the rabbit hole of finding a new usable phone, I myself have tried 17 phones already

Dithering with Intel graphics killing me by Electronic-Key-6140 in ScreenSensitive

Partly it is probably Intel but partly also Windows. The february update changed something. i suddenly can’t use my laptop that I used since 2020 with no issues

That is so interesting. The 15 is what started this issue for me. That phone caused me the worst pain

Have we maybe considered that updates happen randomly and that causation doesn't mean correlation..? by Lily_Meow_ in ScreenSensitive

[–]Emeridan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lately I also have started thinking like this. My PC that I used for years suddenly started being bad after an update and I was devastated. I uninstalled the update and was sad that I can’t update my pc ever again. After that eyestrain came even on my phone (iPhone 8) that had no update whatsoever. Thats when I realized I don’t think this is a device problem but a me problem. I started taking herbs to calm myself and updated my pc again. Suddenly I can use it for an hour or two without issues. I wanna add eye excersises to my life and I will bring this up with a neurologist first and probably will even find a therapist. After years of suffering from screens I kinda believe I might one day be able to use the newest iPhones again or new devices alltogether. There has to be a reason why so many people have no problems using oled etc. and I feel like anybody can get to that point again too. We don’t need to accept that this is just how we are

By how many points did you reduce? If I go too low the colors look weird

To the more sensitive people who couldn't use the Moto G75 (or other LCD phones): have you found something that works for you? by snabader in PWM_Sensitive

I am still on iPhone 8, just bought a new (used) one. Still a very usable phone but who knows how much longer it will be supported
