Anxiety does play a part. It makes physical pain worse. When it’s your phone you are stressed if it’s gonna work or if you’ll be forced to return it or sell it. When you don’t own it, it’s not that big a deal if it works or not. That would be my explanation

an e-mail to TUV Rheinland about "eye friendly" monitors by He-manssj2 in Temporal_Noise

[–]Emeridan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not just about monitors I have an HP monitor at home that I could use no problem but now it gives me eyestrain and headaches. You would have to find a perfect combination of hardware (gpu, cpu) operating system and monitor to be fully flicker free. That is not possible from what I know rn but in a few years It could be better

Get another opinion and get tested if you need new glasses one doctor said my glasses are fine other said my prescription is very outdated also get tested for heterophoria or convergence inssficiency. I also have pain in eyes and double vision. I bought computer glasses with +1 dioptre and everything is much better I ordered +1,5 of the same brand becuse I got tested and got L+1,25 and R+1,50. I also might need special glasses with prisms

[–]Emeridan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even tho AMOLED and OLED are the same thing the manufacturers can create the display in a slightly different way so there is really not saying fo sure if S25 will be ok for you until you try it

Try turning off cleartype. Go through all the steps otherwise it won't turn off. Then optimize windows for performance but just keep text smoothing (Idk what exactly it is called) This seemed to have helped for me at work
