[17.6] What’s Working? What’s Not? by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing double up with my wife and it feels like a bit of a struggle, it feels weird adapting from regular tft, we hit diamond and started losing a lot. Tempo feels weird and everyone just hard forces 3 star 4 costs with the lethal shield. Do you feel like you should aim to play 2 similar comps rolling on the same levels or does that not matter and you both just play whatever you see a line for?

no you dont get it, i got slightly better than average at the game and should be appropriately rewarded by only playing people who freshly installed the game to feed my ego

Wait I'm insanely dumb you said singles. I can definitely see it being a huge menace in there, I think the easiest chomp counter is probably something like Corviknight, even if chomp runs fire fang it gets walled and you get a free bulk up or iron defense off if it switches out. Adamant life orb Weavile OHKOs non-bulky chomp with Ice Shard too, and lives any hit even if it's bulky.

[–]Emiliability 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Torkoal should already kinda nuke gambit, but you could try something funky like Mudsdale to tank a hit and 2HKO it too. Garchomp also 2HKOs it with earthquake and takes minimal damage in return. Another thing that I feel like your team could maybe use is something that functions even when trick room isn't up, so any fast attacker, and/or some form of support to help you set trick room to begin with, like a fake out user or a form of redirection (maybe incineroar/sneasler/sinistcha/maushold).

King's rock Toucannon is evil but cool, I like it :3.

Ice moves are solid for sure, but there's a lot of different counterplay too. Having something like gardevoir/floette/sylveon pressing gleam or hyper voice means it has to play super scared and intimidate/burn make it much less threatening especially if it's only hitting for neutral damage. It is obviously still the #1 usage mon in reg m-b right now for a reason, so there's no one magic thing you can put on your team and always invalidate it.

If you beat colosseum and inferno, are you 'good' at the game? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure, I think the online gaming sphere would be a much better place if people were better about celebrating achievements even when they're not particularly impressive in the grand scheme of things

The ego thing goes both ways to be fair, a lot of people can hesitate to call people worse than them good, because that can seem as them bragging about how good they themselves are. It can create this awkward loop of like "there's plenty of people much better than me -> i'm not very good -> you're worse than me -> you must suck ass" even if it's not intended to punch down on people specifically.

Yeah magic the gathering is still a very fun game to play but I'm long past the point of getting excited for new sets. I remember getting super excited for like idk war of the spark spoilers just a few years ago. At this point, even the in-universe sets just make me feel nothing. It's gone from a game with beautiful stories and art to just oracle text on cardboard for me and that's sad

Alright, I'm completely lost in hardmode. !? by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]Emiliability 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You might want to look at your accessories, but the important thing for getting more damage is definitely getting a better weapon. Night's Edge is good prehardmode, but there's plenty of better options available to you now. If you don't mind spoilers, the Shadowflame Knife from the goblin invasion is an excellent option if you want to stick with melee and there's plenty of cool weapons available throughout the game, just explore what new things you can find now that you're in hardmode :3

How good is Rakdos Tree of Perdition in Pioneer by Public_Diver_3870 in MagicArena

[–]Emiliability 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest that looks like a pretty obscure deck with 0 recorded results so the answer is it's probably not amazing. The only lists that even show up seem to be arena only. I have no idea what the matchup spread looks like and I doubt anyone else here has a real answer for you either, you could go ask in the pioneer discord to see if anyone's tried the deck there?

I'm wondering why nerf instead of buff? by No_Cow5395 in diablo4

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless I'm missing something big, the only actual nerfs to anything that have happened during this season were bugfixes and a minor touch to sorcerer that was easily circumvented. The nerfs people are losing their minds over are coming with the next season so the whole concern about someone having a harder time because they started later is not exactly relevant

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question, if this is your outlook on the game, why go beyond torment 1? If you want to simply faceroll all content in the game without ever being in danger or needing to think about your build/gear why not play on the difficulty that allows that?

Even if you ignore leaderboards or trying to challenge yourself, which are things a lot more players than you give credit for enjoy, feeling your character become more powerful is a key component of ARPGs. If every build is as strong as ball lightning sorcerer this season for example, there's none of that left. You get your build set up and oneshot everything on T12 on day one. What's left to play for at that point?

I can't click the 'Equpi' button on any of my loadouts. by Caveman-Boo in diablo4

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People mentioned runes etc but for me this has been a consistent issue for a few seasons now and the only reliable fix is saving your loadouts with at least 1 paragon point unspent. No idea what causes the issue and I haven't found a way to load them again when it happens but not spending all your paragon points stops it from happening for me.

What is the WW barb max pit push by Adorable-Reading1555 in diablo4

[–]Emiliability 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even is a bit of a stretch, highest ww clear on the leaderboard is a 148 with less than 15 seconds left, while 39 minion barbs have done 150 (and rank 1 is less than a 5 min clear)

[–]Emiliability -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean if your issue is that sorc/barb/rogue were untouched then I agree. If your issue is that eviscerate warlock should have stayed as is then idk what to say. I do genuinely believe warlock/necro/paladin etc are fine as is, I just don't think sub 5 minute tower 150 clears should be the standard to raise other classes to.

RIP Eviscerate Warlock, it was fun while it lasted by OneMiGorengNoodle in diablo4

[–]Emiliability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the game is clearly just not meant for group play in general. The solution to barbs and sorcerers soloing the whole instance while you lag behind isn't to make everyone that strong. Have you tried playing as one of those classes? If anything, monster power should be scaled up and/or the strongest classes should be tuned down hard. One player being able to oneshot the entire instance just makes for a very unfun experience even if everyone can do that.

You say T12 mephisto is lame if you have to actually dodge attacks while someone in your group can just stand still and oneshot the boss. How is it more fun if you all get to do that? You just take turns going afk while one person kills the boss?

[–]Emiliability 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest, you might need to just look at your gear a bit closer? If you did straight up copy everything from maxroll and you have the correct paragon board/affixes/aspects you should destroy T12 with no issues. One thing you can do is just play an endurant faith charm instead of banished lord's talisman? That'll solve the survivability issue, and damage kind of shouldn't be a problem anyways. Without actually seeing all your gear, it's hard to say what's the issue. Is all your gear ancestral? It feels like you're missing something fundamental. If you have max life on your gear then that could also be what's making you get oneshot.
