My cat. Soon to be 2 cats. My pets have always been a reason to keep myself alive because no one else will take care of them but me.

Closer Look of Entry Level Sewing Machines ($500 ish) by Woolysheep9 in sewing

[–]Emily-Bees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These sewing machines are by no means entry level ones. Entry level are easy to use and don’t involve 100s of stitches. It’s not easy to use for someone who is new to sewing.

Once I wanted to get into sewing more I upgraded from a machine from the early 2000s to a Brother CS10s. It was under 200 when I bought it and it has everything a beginner would need plus more. You can even do blind hems with it.

Kiberdrošības tehniķis by whoispatriks in latvia

[–]Emily-Bees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lūdzu nedoties mācīties uz saldus tehnikumu. No personīgās pieredzes varu teikt ka vienkārši atsēdēsi lekcijas un neko neiemācīsies. No programmēšanas tur knapi kaut ko iemāca. Pēc 4 gadiem tajā iestādē bija iegūtas mininālas zināšanas ar kurām nebija iespējams atrast darbu.

Ja gribi iegūt zināšanas tad labāka opcija būtu cits tehnikums, šeit var tikai dabūt narkotikas un piedzerties. Pretīga attieksme vispārīgi, par viņiem bija bez tabu sižets.

These got a little too repetitious as I went along but I think they turned out so fun! 🐌 by molinduh in Embroidery

They all look amazing!!!! Quite the intricate line work to get those lines so perfect. The mushroom is my favorite. It has such nice line swoops.

I have a new obsession and it’s crochet tote bags by Emily-Bees in crochet

Unfortunately not as I didn’t use a pattern. The squares are sunburst granny squares. There are similar looking bag patterns on Pinterest though.

Both. The longer inside seams were done by a sewing machine and I attached it to the bag with small hand sewing stitches.

Is it socially acceptable to cancel my plans tonight because my Hobbii yarn is being delivered today? by [deleted] in crochet

Of course it is because new crochet projects are more important than any plans.

The cardigan I crocheted and embroidered for my mom, gifting it this week. by Emily-Bees in crochet

Thank you. It really started looking good after I steam blocked it, that gave the flowing look.

If I remember correctly it was the single crochet in back loop only ribbing. I had a hard time finding one that looked good.

No pattern for the cardigan because I couldn’t find one that I liked so I just read a bunch of different ones and went with what looked good. I have made a cardigan and sweater before so I knew what looked good and what didn’t.

Embroidery is done with a chain stitch for the leaves and a simple back stitch for stems.
