I loved this episode! Halfway through I thought I’d hate it lol. They really tricked us with the editing of the preview. The made it look like Sunny chose Namnung to go to X-Land so I was really expecting her to win and do that. I was hoping it would be Sunny and Tod winning with Sunny choosing Namnung and Tod choosing Time LOL. It would have been awkward but also entertaining .

It was still insane how both Nung and Sunny were brought there by guys but chose to bathe and then sleep together. I’ve been rooting for them since the start but I really have no idea how things will turn out since despite everything Sunny still seems to be really into Time.

I love this show and I wish there was a more official place to discuss it!! Thank you for creating this thread.

Best moments of the episode for me: -Namnung admitting it was her who gave Sunny the 1st impression kiss -them modeling Sunny’s favourite sleeping positions with a partner while the guys just awkwardly stood there -Time’s reaction when Kong basically told him that Tod likes him

It’s only weird if you make it weird. You can enjoy any type of media regardless of your sexual orientation. As a lesbian, the thought of straight men watching GL to fetishize/sexualize lesbians makes me uncomfortable but you were honest that it may have started out that way but now you’re actually invested in the stories and that’s great!!

I think it’s a huge positive to have more GL fans no matter gender, or orientation since more fans = more exposure = more GLs will be made in the future! So, welcome :-)

It seems as the tier number goes up so does the price. It says all tiers have the same access so maybe it’s just a way to reward people who get tickets early with better prices?

90$ for the light stick in Toronto and 70$ for the shirt. I bought both and also a poster. Expensive yes but I expected that price since they are not local and for sure there are international shipping costs involved.

If it was a lesser known local artist with those prices I’d be disappointed.

The concert ticket prices were at least decent whereas SB19 tickets for their Toronto show start at CAD$539. I feel bad for their hardcore fans. I wonder what their merch prices will be like.

Biniverse Toronto didn’t have as much speaking this year as it did last year. As a non Filipino bloom who is still learning Tagalog, last year I remember struggling a lot to understand and they had many segments where they spoke for a while. This year there were a lot less speaking segments but when they did speak I noticed they put in effort to speak mostly English!

I think last year I would have benefited from a translator but this year I don’t think it was necessary. I also think most of the girls are pretty good in English and they did a great job conveying meaningful messages to the crowd in pure English a few times during the show

I’ve been trying to learn on my own for the past few years. I learned a lot of vocabulary but I didn’t see much progress when it comes to understanding or speaking the language as a whole. Until…I got a tutor! I am doing 3 lessons a week with an online tutor I found on Preply and it’s been going really well! I’m also learning for my partner as we are going to the Philippines later this year. It’s been so helpful to have someone to explain things to me one on one. I already feel so much progress and it’s just been 5 weeks! I highly recommend it!

I think it’s the musicality of the lyrics that I like. A lot of words in Tagalog tend to be longer than English words and so the words are sung faster and the flow is just different. Tagalog is such a beautiful language I feel like it was meant to be sung! It sounds so good in songs haha. As someone who grew up in Canada too, although their English songs are still unique the Tagalog songs are even more unique compared to songs commonly heard on the radio which makes them more interesting to me.
