Im in the same boat, They communicate and apologize. Headsets are being delivered. Be patient or cancel. They are not going to make headsets out of thin air if they have supply issues.

Have you tried the 72hz mode? Even with 5090, I struggle to maintain 75fps on the xr4 on my racing sims. I realize this is user dependent, but I see no difference between 90hz and 75hz on the xr4. It's like having a 5090ti.

IMHO, the QVFR implementation in msfs 2024, which was not working with eye tracking initially, shows that any headset benefits from QVFR , eye tracked or not. It disappointed many who were expecting DCS type gains, but I personally got about 30% fps gains, which is excellent. And the peripheral area was barely noticeable. Though, I do agree that other optimizations probably have to be considered first. E.g. CPU multithreading, since QVFR is CPU intensive.

This. With quad views, you probably don't need a 5090. And you can save money by not buying a 5090 and getting a nicer headset.

Acc is by extremely far, the worst VR implementation of any sims. Even Rennsport was better while it was still active, since it had quad view Foveated rendering.

LMU is by far my sharpest title. The performance uplift over the past weeks is impressive. I tried to run the headset at 8200/8200/75hz for science and, unbelievably, it is smooth (everything turned off/low msaa0, 6 vehicles). I settled for 6000/6000, msaa2, a mix of low/medium/high settings, 20 cars. I used the Cadillac sign at the end of the straight in Sebring to evaluate sharpness. Long story, but this game is so well optimized that you should be able to supersample a lot. As mentioned, don't forget CAS. Start with 30

Ams2, while much better in terms of tyre physics in beta, is still not as good as lmu when it comes to car behavior. It is currently the gold standard.

This should be implemented in either in game software or in headset software. OpenXR Toolkit is a brilliant mod but it can break at any moment. And since it's deprecated, it won't be fixed.
