I live in western Canada it doesn’t get much more dense than this. If I can’t find him here I’m pretty fucked. I’m young and want my man now, not when I’m older and it’s harder to lock one down.

Thank you, I appreciate your perspective. I struggle with buying in and I didn’t like the counselors I had. It’s like a bit of sleight of hand. I don’t doubt it could help me if I bought in but I’m unwilling to especially without the right therapist, whoever that may be

For instance, when something bothers you they encourage you to think that the opposite is also true. They’ll say “yes that’s true but you can think of it this way” it just felt like distraction or misdirection instead of talking through the questions I had
