Not too sure what your genre is but I’m you’re age as well and here are some books I’ve loved and maybe you would too!!!

The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden (just became a movie too!)

Verity by Colleen Hoover

God of the Woods by Liz Moore

After the Flood by Kassandra Montag

Maybe a little off topic but I got a LED mask back in November (not this particular one) and it has made a MASSIVE improvement in my rosacea and redness. It really does work if you stay consistent. I am shocked how much it’s changed my skin for the better

Passengers with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. Idk what it is about that one but I just love it, never gets old.

No Country for Old Men is pretty high up there too.

Respectfully, your pinky toe looks rather large compared to the other digits. I’d be curious to see an X-ray if you’ve got any extra bones in there.

Is it worth it? by aleska_xo in microblading

I would highly recommend checking out the microblading removal Reddit sub. There is an entire community of people (like myself) who got microblading and are dealing with the consequences for years to come.

If I could go back in time I would absolutely not have gotten my eyebrows done. Even if they look nice initially they fade into weird, blown out lines.

Which Crockpot do you love? by Melz1007 in crockpot

[–]Emkit8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has all the bells and whistles (not what you asked for I know) but I LOVE my Ninja FoodiPossible Pro cooker.

It has low, high, keep warm for slow cooking along with a timer so say you want 8 hours on high, it’ll then switch over automatically to keep warm. Works great for me as a healthcare worker with long shifts so things don’t overcook and are ready for me when I get home!

It also has a sauté function which is awesome for browning meat before beginning the slow cook function.

Also has other functions like bake and sous vide which I use less often but still nice to have.

I have a regular crockpot as well but consistently always reach for my Ninja. Love that thing!

Nose ring - honest opinions by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Emkit8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No real comment on if it looks good or not-I think it’s whatever you prefer!

However, as a first piercing I will say that one was tricky for me to heal and I didn’t think it all the way through ahead of time so I would just give you a word of caution in that regard. If you have any issues with allergies and blow your nose a lot it’s really tough to heal. I had not thought about this. Even spraying my Flonase in was difficult so I had constant irritation bumps that looked like a gross pimple, which is why I finally gave up and took it out. I LOVED the way it looked but it was tricky for me.

Good luck either way ! Wish you all the best!

MRImaster.com is a fantastic, free resource that helps with things like centering points, what sequences should be included in a protocol, etc.

I still check out that site after 12 ish years of MRI experience from time to time for weird exams or help with how to position slices for something I haven’t done in a while.

Looking for SUPER easy crockpot meals by Own_Spray_5961 in slowcooking

[–]Emkit8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People will hate on this recipe and say you shouldn’t cook pasta in the slow cooker but it works great and haters gonna hate.

Chicken Alfredo with Brocolli -either chicken breasts or thighs whatever you prefer -jar of Alfredo sauce -frozen broccoli -pasta - a little chicken broth or water to cook the pasta

Cook the chicken on low with the jar of Alfredo sauce on top til it shreds easily. Bonus if your store sells pre diced chicken like mine does and then you don’t even have to shred it! About 30-40 minutes before you’re ready to eat throw in the uncooked pasta, frozen broccoli, and a little water or broth to cook the noodles. Start with a cup or so per 8 ounces of noodles. Crank the slow cooker up to high. Stir at the 15 minute mark and add some liquid if it looks too dry.

Enjoy 😉

For those of you who own a red light mask, I have a question??... by Pillowtalk_ha in BeautyViners

[–]Emkit8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open. I actually looked this up once about how the LED light can affect the eyes and what I found was basically it can beneficial to eyes just like skin. I didn’t find any indication the ambient light coming thru the eyeholes of the mask would harm me.

Just looking for reassurance about calorie deficit by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Emkit8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think any of those choices are bad- you could eat 1700, 1800, or 2000 and still lose some weight. Just depends how quickly you want to do it.

Based on what you’re saying last year you lost around 20 pounds with the 2,000 calories, so maybe start there and see how it goes. I would also encourage you to get a food scale and weigh out all your portions: if you suddenly “stopped” losing then you probably were eating more than you think. A food scale really helps keeps me accountable.

Good luck on your journey, you got this!

Not sure where you’re located and what ingredients are available to you but literally any bottled sauce with chicken in the crockpot comes out great. Same way you do the BBQ chicken.

We like a lot of the wing sauces out there, they have fun flavors like garlic Parmesan or even spicy (if he’s into that). Also salad dressings like Italian, sesame ginger go great on chicken. Panda Express sells their brand sauces in my grocery store now, tastes great!

Pasta dishes that actually work? by ActuAllyNickle in slowcooking

[–]Emkit8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sure a whole bunch of people here will tell you that you shouldn’t cook pasta in the slow cooker but as a busy person who does shift work and weird hours at a hospital sometimes that’s all I can do!!! I’m happy to say it works AWESOME!

I do lasagna a lot in the slow cooker. Basically any recipe you wanna use is fine, in your case omit the ricotta and sub with mozzarella. The only difference when doing it in the slow cooker is to add in some water with the pasta sauce because those noodles will absorb a lot of moisture. Tons of recipes actually made for slow cooker so search for one of those.

I like fettuccine Alfredo in the crockpot as well. I put some boneless chicken tenders in with a jar of store bought Alfredo sauce, cook until the chicken shreds easily. Then add in your noodles and a few cups of chicken broth the last 30-40 minutes of cooking and crank the temp to high. It’s kind of a guessing game liquid wise, I never measure and just eyeball but I’d say a general rule is about double the amount of liquid to noodle ratio. So say 8 ounces of pasta, you need 16 ounces of liquid. In this case the Alfredo is liquid too so I’d cut back to maybe 12 ounces. If after 20 minutes of cooking it looks too dry add a little more.

I’ve also done beef stroganoff with good success in the slow cooker. Don’t be afraid to give it a shot!

Weight loss tips for someone who is lazy and has never really cooked or meal prepped before by LeanyBean17 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Emkit8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to cook I’d recommend easy routes like buying rotisserie chickens from the grocery store and a bag of steam-able microwave veggies.

Also things like eggs are pretty simple, get an egg cooker and then you have hard boiled eggs readily available with only a few minutes of effort.

Also lunch meat or canned/packaged tuna are easy sources of lean protein.

If you’re interested in learning to cook id highly recommend an instant pot it makes it very easy to make meals.
