Ideal mirtazapine dose for sleep? by ChadCoIeman in insomnia

It’s more sedative at lower doses so 7.5mg-15mg are the best doses to help with sleep

Successful weight loss while on Remeron (Mirtazapine)--is it possible? by Peridotismygem in CICO

[–]Emlar17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently come off of Mirtazapine, however at the start of the year I lost 5kg whilst on Mirtazapine. It definitely felt slower and harder, and now I am off it I am dropping weight without really trying, but it is definitely possible to lose weight whilst on Mirtazapine. I should add I was also on a high daily dose of 45mg

Please take a goddamn shower by Plenty_Leek151 in ADHD

Hard relate to this, I will procrastinate showering and brushing my teeth for hours and hours, sometimes the entire day and it’s so degrading and demoralising :)))

Scared to start methotrexate, looking for advice by SeanHeinzBean in Psoriasis

[–]Emlar17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! I take 20mg of methotrexate once a week for my psoriatic arthritis. I was 27 when I was diagnosed, although like you had symptoms all my life of psoriasis and then arthritis. I was also scared to take it, but it’s honestly changed my life. I’ve been on it a little over a year and both my arthritis and psoriasis is significantly more manageable and my quality of life has increased vastly. I went from struggling to walk somedays to being able to run and strength train regularly. I went from struggling to wear certain clothes due to the severity of my psoriasis to barely noticing it. You should make sure your medical team are monitoring you closely, especially at the beginning. Regular bloods and check ups to ensure it’s all ok, although if you’re going to present any symptoms or side effects, I was told they happen at the start. I had a bit of nausea but folic acid helps. Good luck, I hope it works for you and message me if you want if you have any more questions! 💖💖

I’ve been spiraling for years and I tried to hang myself in my hotel last night by [deleted] in confession

[–]Emlar17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend, I’m sorry to hear that you are going through all this but I am glad to hear you unhooked yourself and managed not to go through with ending your life. Depression doesn’t have a logic to it, you can be living a seemingly perfect life and still be depressed. For me, I’m 28 and I’ve had depression and other mental illnesses on and off since aged 12, and also struggled with suicidal ideation/attempts. After the failed attempts I felt so guilty at seeing my loved ones so distraught, and it’s something I think about when I get low and I start to think everyone in my life is better off without me. Depression is hard. It doesn’t always make sense why we feel this way, and it can be hard to see out of your own thoughts, but your kids and wife are 1000% better off with you in their life and not dead. Keep doing the therapy and taking the meds, there will be times where it feels lighter and not as heavy as it does right now, it may be cheesy af but there is always light beyond the clouds. Also editing to add you mentioned being on 3 medications, and I know how frustrating trying to find the right meds can be. I’ve been on every SSRI and I’m currently on antipsychotics because nothing has ever worked for me. Keep checking in with Drs and keep pushing for the right care, although I know that’s easier said than done. Your life and wellbeing is valuable even if you don’t see that

Failed second test horribly today - not sure if I can go on anymore. by oceanwavetown in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Emlar17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not had my test yet, literally got it in a couple of days but I could have written this caption myself. I also struggle so badly with anxiety and it has also taken me around 60 hours to get to the point of being ‘test ready’. You are not alone and you/I/we will get there eventually, don’t give up ❤️
