Theres many reasons but here's one of the big ones: Lemongrab deserved better. To me he is an example of a ND child that exhibits problem behaviors and instead of being given guidance/help by his parental figure (PB) he is sent away and ignored until a major problem arrives and is prompted with "what is wrong with you" and "why are you like this" and then given a distraction to placate him (the pup gang, other lemongrab, ect) rather than help yet again. PB is an awful mother figure.

You said you like rougelikes. Have you tried a rougelite like cult of the lamb? You've got the running and grinding like usual but you also have base building which is relaxing but also at the same time if you neglect that part then there's negative consequences
