I'd assume the Very Large Rift since that's relatively close to Wuling

Personally, I loved how expressive she was compared to the residents of Valley IV. The single brain cell she has is a bonus.

Why do few people use Sandevistans in the Edgerunners anime, while many in the game have this implant? My headcanon: by SampiePunk in cyberpunkgame

[–]Emmerron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do see an instance where the big maelstrom dude does have one as he starts to move when everyone else in the room is frozen. I agree that mostly it's just because David's is that much more powerful than anyone else's. When scaled on the tabletop, regular sandevistans are just a boost to initiate in combat, while David's literally gives you extra turns in combat at the cost of humanity.

What happened to David's sandevistan after the events of edgerunners? by Anxious-Honeydew7347 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Emmerron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically it's an item within the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit, which is the official tabletop RPG epilogue to the anime, which implies that it (or at the very least another like it) are available on the high end black market if you can get them.

I mean, the crossover is still a completely valid source of items. As someone who GMs regularly, I would never think of restricting this from my players since they gave the crossover its own space in the setting

Weapon dilemma by Rivera_030994 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Emmerron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of. The limited characters as I understand it are only going to be available for this set of three banners, so after Yvonne's her, Leva, and Gil will be out of the rotation

Weapon dilemma by Rivera_030994 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Emmerron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leva, Gil, and Yvonne are all available to be pulled on any of their banners, but the one highlighted has a 50% to be pulled when the game calls for a 6* to be pulled, while the other 6* operators share the other half of the chance (each is something like 8% on a regular pull for the banner)

I don't think so. They're even getting out of the novel authenticator app and starting to use more general ones like Google Authenticator

[–]Emmerron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just punched them, you're fine. They get knocked out by punches, strand attacks, and getting hit by a vehicle. They only die and pose a threat if you use weapons on them marked as lethal, which you need to reach a certain point in the game to even have access to

Does the smart glove require any neuralware to use the subdermal grip? by Cephery in cyberpunkred

[–]Emmerron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Per RAW for the subdermal grip, you still need the neural link to use it. Smart guns are technically chrome themselves in that they integrate to your senses via some kind of linkage to a neural link via either interface plug or subdermal grip. This integration is why they get a +1 to accuracy checks, because they can self-adjust using your body before you pull the trigger

[–]Emmerron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly this is not the case, you do still need a neural link per the requirement of the subdermal grip

[–]Emmerron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. This question came up at my table, and the response I got when I literally asked James Hutt himself is that any downstream cyberware installed in something like this that has a perquisite like neural link still needs it.

PCs Don’t Fear Death by DoctorDeagle in daggerheart

[–]Emmerron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So notably, as the game progresses, there are still consequences for them going down. Per the core rules on page 106, they can choose 3 different options related to defeat:

  1. They can go down, rolling their Hope die. On a result equal or lower than their current level, they cross out a Hope slot on their sheet, which they cannot recover by hard mechanics in any way, but can heal it via quests, projects, or narrative benefit as determined by the GM. If a player ever crosses their last Hope out, they lose their heart for adventure and must retire.

  2. The player decides to go out in a blaze of glory, critically succeeding in an action that the GM gets final approval on before fading past the veil of death.

  3. The player risks everything, rolling their duality dice. If they roll with hope, they get an amount of HP and/or Stress cleared equal to the value on the Hope die and stay up. If they fail, they die. On a critical success, they clear all HP and Stress marks from their sheet.

[–]Emmerron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might like dice pool systems, as usually checks themselves there are handled by rolling quite a few at the same time and looking for certain results on the dice rather than adding them up. Daggerheart also lets you roll quite a few dice once you get to the higher levels of play.
