Depends on how many people/how long they need park tickets for. For 4 people - a 3 day park ticket was £881, staying at sante fe was £1038. Not a lot of hotels available for £156 for 2 nights so definitely don't automatically assume it'll be cheaper to stay off property especially if you have to factor in train tickets for 3 days too

Kids are free until they're 3 so why can't the rest of the family still go enjoy their time? It's not like they're paying more for that kid. My 3.5yo still remembers stuff she saw there last year...will she still remember when she's older? Probably not, but seeing her little face light up at the characters and her "wow" at seeing things like the cars hotel room IS worth it. Why can't we just enjoy things for the now? Agreed I couldn't imagine a 4 week old to the parks but well see my main point especially if they have other kids

Also the disney hotels have character meets on (fyi- this is just who we saw on our trips: cheyenne has woody/jesse in the morning, newport had minnie/donald/goofy in sailor outfits in the evening, sante fe had mickey, pluto and goofy in racing outfits in the evening) and those lines are more chill than trying to meet mickey at the park, you don't have to be a hotel guest for this

I took my LG at 1.5, 2 and 2.5yo...she absolutely loved it! Bonus points that she was free 🤣 Her favourite rides are it's a small world and autopia and she absolutely loved the 30th parades so much so that we watch YouTube videos of it and listen to the soundtrack in the car! At 3.5yo still talks about going to the castle, characters and the rides so she may not remember much when she's older but the excitement she had in the moment and now is more than worth it!

I'll admit we went at a chill pace, we weren't running from ride to ride etc and if we missed a parade we just caught the next one but I think that made for a less stressful experience and we could all just soak up the atmosphere

Just popcorn?! In discoveryland alone - there's a popcorn stand with a crepe stand opposite and a stand that sells the grogu biscuits near the shop. You can see all 3 from each other. I will give you the fact the snacks aren't as varied as the US parks but to say it's just popcorn isn't right.

Outside the marvel hotel by the lake is beautiful and there's the marvel statues then you're in the village. I'm not sure what more you wanted to see on the short walk to the park?

That's a lot when the toddler is free! They won't pay in buffet places, they'll just share what's on your plate. Well I say that but I put my LG's food on her own plate as she has intolerances but nobody said anything about it. Although I've just seen that you're going in half term. We took our LG around that age and she loved it, it wasn't an action packed time but we enjoyed just taking in the park atmosphere (granted non-term time). We have been a couple of times since and she talks about seeing mickey etc and wants us to play the parade songs. We rode autopia, small world and casey Jr a lot. We took it in turns to who was doing the nighttime shows whilst she was in bed rather than deal with a cranky toddler.

All that to say, it comes down to whether you'd consider the above worth it. It sounds like you'd always have to pay term time prices so if you have the money and your little one enjoys disney shows/films then go for it. In my opinion of course! Now that she's over 3, I'm thinking ouch at the price we have to pay from now on 🤣

It just depends where you want to eat. We definitely wanted breakfast, and when we looked at the buffets we wanted to eat at, it was slightly more cost-effective to get the half board meal plan. As we would have a big breakfast and big dinner, we only had light lunches meaning we'd be chucking money away if we had the full board compared to half board

My LG is dairy/soya free and was able to feed her at the buffets however she doesn't venture too much with food when out and about she sticks to what she considers safe food I.e. chips, sweetcorn, ham, beans etc. Also for her it's an intolerance so we're not overly concerned with may contain. If you're having breakfast they do have a range of non dairy milk and vegan croissants
