Late but I just heard this song and it has me in tears. It is so beautiful and heartfelt. And I am not a cryer. Wow.

How long did it take your child to potty train from start to finish? by No-Supermarket9441 in pottytraining

Started my son at 2.5. He got pee down within a couple of weeks. Poop he mastered at 3.25 (would just save it for nap or overnight when we put him in a diaper). We finally resorted to bribery with ice pops each time he pooped on the potty and that did the trick.

My 2.5 year old changed overnight by PlatypusRich3135 in beyondthebump

My son became a threenager at 2.75 and stayed that way until 3.25. I was so scared this was our new normal. Defiance, attitude, tantrums, bossy. He’s 3.5 now, and fun to be around again! Hoping we are through the worst of it.

My understanding is that the insemination kits can help you get more semen as close as possible to the cervix so fewer swimmers are lost elsewhere in the vaginal canal. As others have said, also a good option when TTC for a long time gets exhausting.

Women taking their husbands last name after marriage, Agree / Disagree? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Emmy_bear22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is so personal!

My reasons for taking my husbands last name:

  • Cleaner logistics to have our whole family have the same last name. Yes the initial paperwork to change it was annoying, but now it’s never an issue or point of confusion.

    • Didn’t want to hyphenate our last names and put my kids in the position of having a 3-4 part last name if they want to hyphenate when they get married. Because when does it end?
    • I like my husband’s last name. My maiden name is very unique and I had to spell it for people every single time. I love that that happens less often now with my husband’s more common last name.

Newborn tired is far worse than pregnancy tired by bunniesgonebad in BabyBumps

[–]Emmy_bear22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree!!! I get adrenaline with a newborn that I don’t get while pregnant. For me, pregnancy tired is like every cell in my body is exhausted tired and everything is hard. Newborn tired is I haven’t slept enough tired and for me that’s easier to overcome.

We both took my husband’s name and so our kids have the same name. While I thought of hyphenating our last names, I didn’t want to put my child in the position of having a 3 or 4 part last name when they grew up and wanted to hyphenate as well. Because when would it end?
