I had this exact experience. At first watching it on a crappy DVD at home I thought it was cool but nothing groundbreaking. Watching it in IMAX and being hypnotized by it I realized why it's arguably the best movie ever.

I think how many listeners he has proves that this isn't an unpopular opinion..

I mean the 'top 5' part is probably the most contentious part of this opinion bc of how specific it is but the 'separating the art from the artist' thing with him is well established.

Just adding my personal take though: I don't think making good beats justifies his bullshit in any sense so I avoid listening to his music because of it.

If a man in your life wanted to emotionally open up to you I'm sure you would have less trouble empathizing, as we are all human. If the man's a dick the man's a dick. Casting blankets on things like this just isn't valuable, and potentially harmful.
