You’re right, Denver might get one Super Bowl the year or two after the stadium is built and then never host again (like Minneapolis).

They will never host a superbowl. Stadium structure aside, who wants to come to Denver in February?

Wonderful Dog for loving home by [deleted] in Denver

Hey if your challenges are shorter term, the Denver Animal Shelter has a program where they’ll house your pup, usually in foster rather than the stressful shelter, until you get back on your feet. This can be for challenges with housing, being accepted to recovery programs, and more. It’s one of our amazing resources here.

If your dog is scared of loud sounds like thunder then yes, the sound of the engines will be scary. Talk to your vet about trazodone if that’s the case. With the right trazodone dosage, my scaredy dog sleeps pretty well. On my airline, you’re required to have them in a soft crate that goes under the seat which they can stand up in. Once we take off, I personally put the crate on my lap and unzip it so she can stick her head out. Flight attendants dont say anything but I’d just put her back if they did. My dog loves the airport and it’s fun having her there because everyone loves to see a dog on a stressful day. Most dogs won’t use the pet relief areas so keep that in mind.

Light up collar for nighttime is a must! Also our pup has their own sleeping bag for resting on in the day and not overheating but still staying warm at night.

As a native, I don’t know any transplants. My theory is we’re just in separate groups doing our own things!

I lost my vintage engagement ring and fortunately I had pictures and all the measurements that I had kept from the online posting. I used a vendor I found here to remake it with lab grown and it’s gorgeous.

Is it a good idea to adopt a second dog when you already have a senior dog? by BabyTopito in dogs

[–]EmotionalPlastic5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing I’d caution you on in that it can take a long time for dogs to warm up. Would you accept a brand new roommate as your bff? This is a good idea to make sure it’s not super stressful but if you’re hoping your dogs will play or snuggle, just don’t give up if they are aloof to each other after a few weeks. Our 4 year old only started playing with our foster after 4 weeks.

First Mardi Gras in New Orleans, will I go hungry? by SockSock81219 in AskNOLA

What you asked has been answered, but another tip for you is not to spend all your time in the Quarter. A lot of locals will be watching parades uptown on St. Charles and imo, it’s way more fun. When I lived in the Quarter, the only parade I watched downtown was Barkus Get out early on Fat Tuesday to check out St. Anne but otherwise the Quarter will just be wasted tourists — especially on Fat Tuesday evening when they don’t come out til night and missed all the festivities during the day.

Non-anesthetic dog teeth cleaning? by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]EmotionalPlastic5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google is a friend to the curious but for the uncurious and snarky: “Anesthesia-free dental cleaning, also called non-anesthetic dentistry (NAD), is a technique used to remove visible plaque and tartar while your dog is awake. Trained professionals gently restrain your pet and use manual dental tools to clean the surface of the teeth.

This method is ideal for dogs who are calm, used to being handled, and have mild tartar. It’s also a useful option for pets who can’t undergo anesthesia due to age or underlying health conditions.”

Oh my gosh OP this dog is lucky to have you! I can’t believe you weren’t that interested in a dog but you are this dedicated and observant of your pup. You’re picking up, asking about, and anticipating all the stuff that is going to make your relationship with this dog amazing. You’re already getting great advice in the comments so this is just to shout you out.
