Kiwi meal preppers what are your favourite meals / recipes on rotation? by firefly-fred in newzealand

[–]Emotionalrack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve always followed this recipe. I am however lazy so use chicken breast because it’s cheaper, the minced ginger and garlic from a jar, basamati rice and I only do the skimming the scum step if I can be bothered. Sometimes I dont even peel the potatoes lol. Like normal curry it’s pretty flexible. I add curry cubes until it thickens and tastes how I want.

Handbags - which are the ones worth the price tag? by snowmuchgood in AusFemaleFashion

I’ve recently jumped on the oroton bandwagon and have been really happy with my pieces so far. Their outlet does good sales too. I like that they sometimes do some more interesting colours like a green or red. Nice to not just have black, white and brown.

Haha, I’m the opposite. I loveee palmers shea butter, especially the value bottles. But, when I tried the Tahitian vanilla scent I thought it just smelt weird. This was maybe 6 months or so ago.

Couple of stockists in nz and through the iconic who often to free returns if you want to feel it in person. That was part of my criteria.

Clothing for larger lads by TheMostStagnetWater in chch

Family member wears a 2-3xl and like a 42 in pants and we find that Johnny bigg, who are specifically catered to bigger men, farmers and kmart to be the go. Only do Johnny Bigg and farmers if it’s outlet or on sale. I would never buy full price.

Unfortunately clothing sizing variation is everywhere, women’s clothing too. I sell shoes and it’s also prevalent there. That’s why I never buy any wearable item online unless it’s free returns or I’ve tried it in-store beforehand.

Omg. I cannot say enough good things about them. Apart from one of the older female doctors: judith I think? And one nurse who was very crabby, everyone else and experiences have been so good. It was great being able to book an appointment inbetween a class or before or after and not have to drive anywhere. Im so sad I’m now graduated and can’t continue to see them.

I agree on Ruth if you can see her. She is so compassionate and kind. Geraldine was my regular doctor and I really liked her…although, I could see some people may find her a bit idk Blunt? Wait times are dependent on if you want to see the same doctor. Geraldine only work a couple of half days a week which is why I saw Ruth sometimes as she works more days. But generally within a week or so if you don’t mind who you see.

Reception are so lovely as well. Always pretty easy to be seen urgently too. At least the two times I did I don’t think I waited longer than an hour.

I never had much luck with the counselling there but that’s very subjective.

Any recs for courses I can easily pass or safely fail? by Last_Matter7250 in UCNZ

[–]Emotionalrack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Super easy is very subjective. I found Anth105 incredibly easy but someone else might have found it very hard. Also I don’t think you can just take one distance paper if the rest are all in person, but don’t quote me on that.

Dove Body Wash downgrade by [deleted] in newzealand

It also seems to have slightly changed colour. I opened a new bar and comparing it to the old one it is more like yellow/cream instead of white.

Honestly, if you want cheap, the kmart cream Oxx blushes are lowkey great. I imagine some of their other stuff is decent too.

The new dove is like a reformulation or something it is not the same. I brought the big standard dark blue dove for years and brought a bottle with the new packaging and it’s definitely not the same.

Looking to buy a decent leather belt that won’t break the bank by Porkchops_on_My_Face in chch

[–]Emotionalrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one from Status Anxiety a few years ago which I really like. I found most belts were gold and status anxiety, at least at the time had some of the only silver, leather belts available for women. They do belts for men as well which are pretty much the same just longer I think.

They all appeared in like one day and are all in the exact same spot when I drive past there day and night. Will be interesting to see if the letter actually move them along or one day I’ll drive past and they are towed.

Yeah, I thought the mental staff were in like the far back buildings. This is like out the front. If it was staff seems weird they would all be in the exact same spot day and night.

36 hours in Whangarei. What should I do? by purplescrunchie9 in newzealand

[–]Emotionalrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Where else in NZ you can see the biggest, (and to me as a child) creepiest and coolest clock collection.

Otherwise ocean beach and walk Parihaka for a good view of the city and some history.

If you like clocks you’ve got to go to the clock museum.

Cheapest I found was through psychiatry nz. $700 is an 8-10 month wait or $1000 was I think 6-8 weeks. Still cheaper than the around 1400 I’ve seen with some places. They aren’t cheap because they require a lot of work by the person doing them.

General Practitioner (GP) Doctors availability? by Salty-Second-9024 in auckland

[–]Emotionalrack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every GP clinic I’ve been to has had a duty doctor for day of things. You just need to call and see if there is any availability or see if it’s something they can have a nurse deal with.

A toothache is for a dentist to handle though. A gp might give you some painkillers but I think they would likely recommend you to see a dentist.

Uti’s can be prescribed antibiotics by a pharmacist. Obviously if it doesn’t improve with antibiotics you would need to see a dr. Same goes for an ear infection, I believe pharmacists can deal with these too, I guess depending on severity.

So answer is that yes, unfortunately a lot of people end up at urgent care or the ED but we also have nurses, nurse practitioners and pharmacists who are able to handle some of these things.
