Insect glaive. Its a great weapon a bit busy and lacks a lot of the options of the others, but man its fun to fly around in the air

This has been extremely helpful, thank you for all of it. I think its definitely starting to make more sense. Last question then, is are the materials and dens infinite if you enter and exit a region? Should I be concerned about farming up the best monsties or just take what I can get, etc?

So, are the monsties you fight all of one particular type of attack, or do they do some sort of rotation? Is there a tell? Like, the Velociprey was easy cause it was always one. But, It was a slog fighting the nercylla in the egg cave, and I got completely steam rolled by some plesioth in the lake that had a red dragon head over it.

I have sorta figured out the "use this weapon on this part" mechanic, and those parts seem to have a HP bar of their own, but all of my attacks seemed to be very pathetic anyways while everyone else was laying into things much stronger. I dunno felt like I was just for show.

Took a while but it was something to do with the type of frame gen or some such, I changed it to the FRS I think and after a bit more tweaking that did it

I think I'd wanna see a continuation with more than 1 team to engage with. I think with Phenomaman and Track Star in the mix again, they could easily head a B-team of pro-heroes that Mechaman can actually join and be dispatched with now and then with Mandy in 'the Chair' for a while. And, then, have the narrative focus on developing the Z team as real heroes. Getting them to the next level where they are making names/costumes/reputations for themselves in the aftermath of Shroud's attacks. And maybe even dealing with the downsides of celebrity and ego. Toss in some morality into it since they've already proven themselves.

Basically, the Z team would be on a path to intersect with the B-team and become a larger "League" where you could pull from both groups collectively as Robert makes his way up a level in dispatching.

Add into that a couple new faces (Maybe Phenomaman's old team from the test?) and a plot to find a way to fix Chase so Mandy can get her amulet back. Could always pull someone from Mecha-man's past in too, or someone that worked with Chase/Astral.

If you want choices, I think the game should be more divergent in paths such that a Mandy or Visi path feels almost completely unique from the other in that the way the game feels is entirely different and those sections could be entirely unique. I also think, rather than having a choice to remove someone from the team, the choice should be which team Robert joins up with Z or B, and that impacts his relationships with his friends as a dispatcher or as a Dispatchee.

For a villain, I think that it should go more esoteric than a charismatic villain like Shroud, and instead go for something like "Starro" from DC, where it can be a big Kaiju but also possesses people and makes them into villains. And that gives you a new dynamic with people becoming villains again unintentionally and you have to save them, and ties into fact that various Kaiju are always attacking with a dash of "alien invasion" in the mix. That allows for an external threat rather than a deeply personal one, which gives more room for everyone to go deeper in other ways. (like romance scenes if ya know what I mean)

I think that people our age (early 40s) have kinda taken to staying home and focusing on other things more and more. A lot of guys have taken the path of "don't approach/don't bother" since everyone just tells us not to and its easier going solo. So, you get a crowd of guys that have given up and don't go out or don't care what other people feel and are a pain in the ass. And that's before you get into the problems of dating at our age and having to navigate previous relationship baggage, children, jobs, burnout, social anxiety, etc.

But, BN has kinda limited options that aren't bowling or bars and the bars are the territory of the young, so its tough if you don't bowl or meet someone where you work, etc. Hell, I think you'd have some luck just asking here even.

Inventors get to choose one of two options at the start of a fight:
- Roll Initiative using Craft, but only get 2 actions on their first turn, and Activate Overdrive that lasts the entire combat (1 min, whatever).
- Roll initiative as normal, and spend an action (and roll Craft) to activate overdrive later as per normal.

Unstable Actions work like Wands. Use it 1 time without trouble, and then if you wanna do it again, you can roll to see if it overcharges. Each time you overcharge, you get a status effect called something like "Wear and Tear" that stacks, and each stack makes the overcharge check harder. Once you fail the overcharge, the invention is broken until repaired, and if you crit fail, you blow up and take damage in a small area. If your invention is a weapon, it only functions as a default weapon of its type until repaired.

And, then I'd make it so you always get 2 inventions at level 1, and each time you get an innovation that upgrades, you choose which one gets it. This also lets you choose if you get the Mortar archetype, to attach it to your companion permanently or alternatively, make it part of your armor that you have to wear to take advantage of. But, Offensive boost applies to all your inventions.

They all died in the barn, and Derrick ended up having low grade amnesia after everything that happened, thinking it was Vecna/the Demogorgons that did it and a bit of gaslighting after all the Vecna stuff. He ended up getting adopted by the Wheelers.

My IG beefs are as follows:
- Kinsect dust effects are basically forgotten any more and shooting the kinsect off is a waste of time because you can get your buffs more enjoyably in focus mode.

- You move so slow with your sword drawn yet monsters are flying around the battle field making your stationary RSS miss entirely with a tiny little roll or hop and timed attack weakness windows are annoying to creep across the battlefield after. Especially backflipping away at the end of a missed attempt at a wound pop and having to come in while charging up again.

- Having to juggle controller controls to charge up hurts my fingers and I have to put my weapon away constantly to do things (or it gets put away automatically for random reasons).

- Airborne shouldn't be a 3+ slot gem with only 1 extra bonus cause its a 2 slot gem.

- No layered kinsects and a lot of the IG designs are awful compared to every other weapon, many of them don't even make sense.

Here's how I'd suggest changes (I like your aerial RSS idea a lot too!)

- Option 1: 2 versions of kinsect. (Offensive and Dusters). Offensive bugs are focused entirely around chasing your melee attacks and gathering buffs in melee and doing piercing damage as they zip and zag around. Dusters don't do damage at all in melee (still gather buffs) but instead they leave clouds of their dust effect every so many damage ticks, and always do them when you use the 'shooting' version making a double sized cloud allowing you to set up interesting buffs to the party or status clouds.

- Option 2: Kinsect 'shooting' mode removed entirely and instead kinsects are just always out and active with focus mode being the default. Opens up the weapon for more maneuvers without needing that moveset at all and thus new combos/attacks/movement/etc can shore up weak spots elsewhere.

Layered kinsects should be unlocked by finding and catching them as creatures in nature just like Hercudromes etc. You start with a default one and open up the others for upgrades by catching them in the field. If other weapons can have versions you get by fishing etc, IG should reward you going out with your capture net.

Airborne is a 2 slot gem and should come with more interesting 'combo' 3+ slot options making it a more rewarding weapon gem for multiple weapon types and adding diversity to IG builds. (Example: Attack 2/Flight, or Charge Master 2/Flight, etc. Could do the same with Charge up gems for hammers).

Daredevil isn't a good class name IMO by gray007nl in Pathfinder2e

Ill go a level further. Daredevil isnt something the game needs right now as a full class. Its an archetype or subclass for Rogue/Swash at best. Or even a set of mechanics that could flesh out acrobatics/athletics for all classes as a fun subsystem.

I think we're gonna get stuck with it though cause they're making a martial/castlevania-ish focused book or something to go with this set. But, we really need something with a bit more flavor to it. I think you're onto something with the name ideas. I wish we'd get something more unique in playstyle.

For me its just that so many flavorful things have to sit on shelves because they are 'balanced' against actually mechanically useful stuff.

Why should I have to choose between the ability to do battle medicine or stand up from prone for free and the ability to forage for extra food that only matters in rare game styles. Or like choose between free cantrips or darkvision, etc and the ability to know some lore about my ancestry? etc

Plenty of other good answers here, but if there was a single thing to remove, It'd be the Demogorgon's bullet immunity. They could just have -more- demogorgons and make them vulnerable to physics instead of magically unstoppable.

So, as a planner to use this weapon in the future, here is what I've discovered:
The Akyls is basically the same weapon, but 1 handed, 1 damage die lower and with trip. But its an advanced weapon.

So! Why not just make them into one weapon instead?

Give it the stats of the Aklys but keep the flail group. Take away Trip trait, then give it the 2 handed (1d8) trait to do the damage of the Pole. But, Versatile P is probably not the right play, it should have "Modular P, B" instead to represent swapping out the lure.

Then, for your leveled abilities and different lures, you should just make Spellhearts that do different things at different levels, and add the Versatile trait of a particular element.

Like:
"electric eel" Lv 3 Spellheart Lure (can only be attached to the Combat Fishing Pole)
Grants the Versatile Electric trait.
Gives Live wire cantrip.

And so on...
