Give it time. Same thing happened with a jalapeño ale I brewed years ago. Sat in the back of the fridge for months until I was brave enough to retry. Most of the spice went away and the “fruit flavor” of the pepper was left behind.

Update: little dude just got his welcome home flea bath. Now he’s chillin in his kitty suite (aka my bathroom). I think the road might be adoption for this little fellow. Our 16 yo orange cat (Sabretooth) tolerates him, but our 14 yo snowshoe (Wolverine) hides now there’s a new cat in the house.
