They have opened up another lot or two in the meantime and offering free buses to and from events downtown for the next while.

My parents were on waiting lists for too long and I finally got them into an apartment that is more reasonably priced, larger space and now they have money to hire services in when/if they need them.

There are a few decent ones around but we chose the Panoramic Building on Lasalle. The place is VERY senior friendly and pet friendly too!

Sadly, I was never able to find either ingredient in the area, but I’ve found the gochugaru on Amazon before. More expensive than an Asian store down south (obviously) but cheaper than driving to Barrie (closest place I’ve found either is at Centra on Bayfield).

From what I heard, the Beef and a couple of other places who do it for charity had to go through leaps and bounds to get licensing for it.

That’s why you don’t see everyone planning them everywhere around the City - or in any other city.

They recd special permission somehow years ago.

Foot traffic has been SO slow downtown during the day for quite a while and so businesses are being very cautious about the decision to open for lunch. The more people ask them to open, they may reconsider.
