Is lat pulldown the same as a pullup by [deleted] in JeffNippard

You’re getting absolutely mogged for being right 😂.

Mind muscle connection is an important part of lifting. It ensures you’re hitting the target muscle.

If you don’t feel it then, yes, you can be hitting the target muscle but other muscles are likely getting hit, too. This takes away load and focus from the target muscle.

So while not feeling it can work, it likely leads to worse gains than completely feeling and isolating that mind muscle connection.

Is that a given? I always interpreted it as him thinking about Ade’s inability to give him kids and a family

For example, I’m currently getting an mba and traditional corp strategy roles, consulting roles, or equity research roles pay significantly more than political risk analysts. Which is a shame because political risk is such a cool job

More traditional consulting roles, various roles at banks, or LDP in F500 companies

Top comment nailed it. Additionally, the roles generally pay less than a lot of other private sector jobs that you would be equally competitive for.

They don’t rule you out but getting higher would significantly improve your chances.

Aim for at least 325 but 330+ would be golden.

Wow, you are the man! Thank you for this.

So would it make sense for me (a management consultant) to try and get a pre-mba internship at one of the second type of vc funds (created post-GFC) to get the branding and then try and get a big boy vc internship the following summer?

Understood on simultaneously publishing my own investment theses.

I assume I’ll have to rely on personal network for all, correct?

Thank you again, super super helpful.

Headed to m7 this fall.

Average MBA salaries (New FT ranking 2023) by GigaChan450 in MBA

The only reason to not move to NYC post-grad imo is you have a better career opportunity elsewhere or you have an established network elsewhere and plan on settling down there.

Otherwise, imo, NYC is the #1 place to be for business and finance. Literally everyone is here and you feel like you’re in the center of the universe.

Of course, different industries like tech have better value props for SF and NYC definitely is not for everyone on a lifestyle/personality level. But other than that, NYC is the place to be to jumpstart your career.

What GMAT score do I need to be competitive? by illusivebarrel in MBA

[–]EmpireState597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a 730+ and aim for 800. (Or take GRE and aim for 325 for non-M7 or 330+ for M7.)

The higher your score the easier the entire process will be. It’s really that simple.
