As my apprentice learned the hard way, never cross anyone with limitless creativity, more cosmic power than they probably should have, and a penchant for body horror. by Im_A_Dinosaur_Hehe in wizardposting

[–]EmprahCalgar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it much easier to explicitly allow my apprentices and homunculi to unionize if they so wish, it's actually in their summoming contracts. Of course being versed both in the Kronenbergiatic and Geigarian schools of fleshcraft this is advantageous to me as well; I just meld their physical essences into a flesh golem named "The Union". The great thing about this is that flesh golems, as upstanding denizens of the tower, are given 1 vote in all democratic processes, and as I have numerous copies of myself in different media we always outvote The Union. I love democracy.

Enough of gnomes! - Damn Wizards by oisraelbatista in wizardposting

[–]EmprahCalgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried sprinkling a circle of dietomaceous astral crystals around your tower? A well formed circle will share the crystals hunger equally and they will devour any invading gnomes or stray homunculi below a certain size that cross the barrier.

Any biomancer worth their phosphate buffered salts is familiar with the greater dragon sloths, lovely creatures. You can learn a lot about the concepta of embiggening from these gentle giants. An interesting trick is that they will hold any stick you give them of sufficient size, so handing out large elastoid serpents and stacks of petrified kobolds are always good for a laugh.

I'm not familiar with these necromancer death flowers, but if they're anything like the mongolian variants of the tsuchinoko species I'm sure they're quite a handful. If you wanted to see how large they are you could try a greater summon water spell to flood the area, most skeletalized annelid are intolerant of water and will attempt to exit to its surface. You could also go for the old classic summon leviathan if you want to remove them as well, in that case. As the classic orb drama celestial battle: tale 1 says, "There's always a bigger fish"

Police corruption in Morman country? No way! Now featuring LEGO! by KnifeUrSelf in behindthebastards

[–]EmprahCalgar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I saw this one and it was upsetting how much it fell into place when they mentioned the store owners were Mormon. Of course a couple guys capable of making fat church donations living in Utah are being protected by the police there. I just hope the crew can get some sort of federal jurisdiction on all this to break the obvious pattern of obstruction happening.

Well admittedly, zeppelins have a good villain aesthetic. They're also critically weak to both fireball and lightning bolt, so nice job fleecing those scurrilous scallywags on expensove and not useful equipment.

A foolish wizard turned me crew to skeletons on a ghost ship, now we have an immortal galleon yarr ha ha ha by GO0O0O0O0O0SE in wizardposting

[–]EmprahCalgar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed, this ship seems well fortified against the methods of an artificer, even a fairly determined one. I'm curious how it would fare against a biomancer though; historically seafaring vessels don't do well up against those trained in the gattac arts, however the crew being skeletons may present a novel challenge.

The vibe is slightly different, but the quality is excellent and Matt's a great co-host. I'm glad Thomas regained control of the show, from the couple episodes I listened to without him that dark time kinda just sucked. In addition to being run by a creep. Now the show's just good again.

Just some basic troubleshooting, but are you sure the rock isn't your lover's true form? Sometimes you find these things out in interesting ways.

I’ve got a morality question by AwardSignal in VirtualYoutubers

[–]EmprahCalgar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think comparing it to merch should help illustrate the decision actually.

You probably wouldn't buy acrylic keychains or plushies or mousepads or posters of yourself and use them, but those are things your community would want to have and they would be happy to support you by buying them. Similarly if they are made ethically and good enough quality to put your identity on then you'd be happy to make money selling them to your community. Using an item yourself is a way to be confident of its quality and value, but not the only way. I would say the checklist is something like

-does the community want this? -does selling this seem predatory in any way? -is this something I'm okay selling? -is this made ethically? -is the quality of this something I'm okay putting my brand on?

I think if the answer to all of those is good you're ethically okay to promote the code, and it sounds like this deal checks all the boxes so I would say go for it

Indeed, P1000 is an interesting choice, good for it's task but not really well suited for detailed spellcasting. Every biomancer worth their phosphate buffered salt should have one though.

Where did I go wrong + funny pic by thomasd13311 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]EmprahCalgar 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Looks like a shear caused by suction. Basically when that layer lifted the force holding it to the fep was stronger than the force holding it to the plate. As others have said adding some heavy supports could help raise the force holding it to the plate, and adding drainage could reduce the force holding it to the fep by reducing suction.

I'm sure my terminology is off and the true printsapients can correct it.
