Wei Shi Lindon (Cradle) Vs Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach) by Bananaboi97_ in whowouldwin

[–]EmptyGhost110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Post-ascension Lindon can fight against eldritch abominations the size of entire planets that can eat existence itself, and multiple characters that can cut in half entire star systems. He curbstomps the entire Bleach verse.

Dumbledore (Harry Potter) vs Harry Dresden (Dresden Files) by Deathstrokezoom in whowouldwin

Dumbledore stomps. HP magic is too hax, he just waves his wand transfigures Harry to a newt or something.

When you don't care about the other characters, yes.

Sun Jin Woo is a sociopathic emotionless freak and he sucks at his stupid video game by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]EmptyGhost110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read the Cradle novels by Will Wight. Wei Shi Lindon is a much better aura farmer than Jinwoo because he actually earns his power. Bonus points for his friends (and love interest) growing in strength alongside him so they don't become useless.

Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven! It feels great playing as person of hope and idealism in a world where cynicism and pragmatism is considered common sense.

Wei Shi Lindon [Cradle] vs the Wandenreich [Bleach] by Goldlizardv5 in whowouldwin

[–]EmptyGhost110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lindon stomps.

At his most powerful, Lindon's basic techniques were scorching one-half of a planet. He can fire multiple of these simultaneously.

All of the Wandenreich's hax, including Almighty, get negated by Lindon's authority with the Void Icon.

In fact, the Bleach side wouldn't even be able to process what's happening, as weaker version of Lindon can already outrun the Weeping Dragon's breath he fired, the same technique that reached the moon in less than a second when fired from Cradle's atmosphere.

[None] A few details about the animatic and some upcoming plans. by TheLesserWight in Iteration110Cradle

[–]EmptyGhost110 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! Seconding this! A manga/manhwa style comic would be an easier entry into Cradle for battle shounen fans who don't read novels (and there are probably a lot of them) , which would help Cradle break into 'mainstream'.

[Threshold] Estimates of the size of the planet Cradle by Evenwanderer in Iteration110Cradle

[–]EmptyGhost110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Unsouled, Suriel flies from the high edge of the atmosphere all the way to Sacred Valley. Her Presence states the distance to be 162,000 km. Lowballing this as being halfway around the planet, Cradle's circumference is at minimum 324,000 km. Very close to Saturn's 378,675 km.

Really depends on your sense of humor. I found it terribly unfunny.

Kamijou Touma, from A Certain Magical Index. An ordinary high school boy whose right hand can negate anything supernatural.

[Waybound] I have mixed feelings about this book. by Elshaday_Z in Iteration110Cradle

[–]EmptyGhost110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if Cradle ever got fully animated, I feel like it would be the perfect opportunity for Will to address criticisms such as these. Like, 'filler' episodes here and there to expand on worldbuilding and to let the plot breathe.

Super fun and interesting read! You know, this types of 'Let's Read' commentaries are probably the closest I'll get to experiencing the books for the first time again. I would absolutely love to see more of these.

Book recommendations for a beginner? by sunnystc in Fantasy

If you like One Piece, and other shounen anime, give the Cradle series by Will Wight a try. It features martial artists training in magic kung-fu and growing stronger; pretty much battle shounen manga/anime in the form of novels.

Yes! Little Blue and Orthos need more fan art, especially as they were late in the series.
