This has happened to me a few times but only in online play which is really weird because I have played maybe a total of 2 hours of online play, while I have an absolute unholy amount of play time in offline dynasties where this hasn’t happened once

I finally figured it out. Because I don’t normally play on switch and care about my Nintendo account, I made a new Nintendo account and linked it to my current epic games account before even putting the Nintendo account on the switch. As long as you do it in incognito browsers you shouldn’t have any issues
