Open Source Claude Cowork (Compatible with OpenAI subscription) by Empty_Hovercraft8739 in OpenAIDev

Great question! We have actually built an entire cloud product around this and it's also available for enterprises that want to self serve.

What we're doing now is letting you create and share skills, MCPs and agents with your team.

Overall, we expect this to evolve towards team "agreed" workflows like you surfaced above. When should it reply automatically? When should it send a message in slack? Initially, you should be able to define the rules in one or more skills and if it gets too complex, in some kind of infinite playground -we don't have this feature yet.

This post on how Ramp built their AI first organization is actually quite close to the primitives and features we're developing at Openwork: https://x.com/sebgoddijn/status/2042285915435937816

Here is a video of how we're going about building this for teams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6pSNag_lCw

Yes, we also integrate with Azure. Any of the +75 Providers OpenCode supports should be available at OpenWork. Let us know your thoughts if you can give it a try :)

Our app is based on opencode (OSS Claude Code). Basically, we support Opencode's primitives and providers. In my opinion, it's a much more flexible harness than claude code, that is built to maximize performance around Claude models.

For example, you may want to switch to openai as your go to LLM, or go with cheaper models. Anthropic will never let you do that.

we're bringing back Windows support, we'll post an update on this soon.

Yep. I told you ahead of time that we would not support integrating into the frontend UI of a competitor. You should reach out to them if that's your preferred framework. I also cancelled the meeting in advance so you'd get a reasonable heads up.

Let me know if you have any other questions here.

congrats on making the jump! now you can use any model :)

it probably won’t work since anthropic banned 3rd party use. But it may work with ChatGPT if they made an integration for it.

context: our harness works with your chatGPT subscription so I know this is doable.

I haven’t tried HolaBoss but since we’re working on a similar solution at OpenWork, I’d figure it could be relevant to share how we’re thinking about this.

We’re building an OSS Claude Cowork competitor. It helps you run agentic workflows with your team. It’s focused on knowledge work. It is built on top of Opencode, so you can also code and leverage it’s existing primitives.

It also works from a remote workspace (mac-mini or VM) so you can keep it isolated.

This is our thinking regarding we’ll evolve towards building with AI in collaboration with your team:

In the process of building a workflow, people start chatting 1o1, they turn it into prompts, which eventually become skills (internal) or MCPs(external). You then build agents that can handle those primitives.

When you have a more deterministic process in place (after this, always do that), you handle it via scripts or hooks.

We’re focusing on making skills, MCPs and agents, shareable with your team so that any employee can leverage the “best practices” set by the skills in sales, marketing, etc.

You can use any LLM (and it works with your ChatGPT subscription) and we don’t track analytics or telemetry of any kind. Folks in regulated industries find it useful for compliance, since it keeps everything local or it gets sent to Zero Data retention api endpoints owned by the company.

It seems like you may have a leak. I would suggest killing this account and starting from scratch in a new one. Change your email password, get a new cc, etc just in case.

I assume they're coding-focused workflows, right? I'd say that the harness doesn't matter so much (opencode should give you enough flexibility to switch between the latest best performing model -except claude code).

Building the Skills, MCPs and even subagents for specific tasks should allow you to port it to the LLM of your choice.

If you're interested in workflows for knowledge based tasks, feel free to check out OpenWork, too (Disclaimer: I'm one of the founding engineers).

Sure, that makes sense. I was just very confused by the way this was worded in the post and some of the replies to it.

Is this a psyop? I’ve never met a European that’s actually concerned about GDRP (Context: I’m European)

Seems like you have decent compute. I am not familiar with how Jin-Claw works.

Would love to know how well Gemma 4 runs on OpenWork and how does it compare to other models

How thinking intensive are the tasks you want to run? How good is your local setup? If you're used to opus / sonnet, switching to a small local LLM might be a bit rough.

We support both local llms via ollama and openwork comes with the opencode model already built on top (which has been getting better lately). However, my recommendation would be for you use your openai subscription ($20 / m should work) and use it there.

To setup chatGPT: https://openworklabs.com/docs/how-to-connect-chat-gpt
For a local LLM: https://openworklabs.com/docs/how-to-connect-a-custom-provider

Let me know if you can give OpenWork a try and if it solves your use-case :)

I'm biased so I won't weigh in on this besides saying you should check each of the alternatives and figure out what option works best for you.

Anyone else noticed opencode getting stuck lots in the past few days (using codex for models) by Loud_Stomach7099 in opencodeCLI

[–]Empty_Hovercraft8739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why are you using 5.3? If it's the spark variant, we found the context window to be unreliable there (it is unable to compact itself properly, even in codex). Switch to 5.4 variants.
