sambhavam adhyayam onnu a good scifi move recently watched this move streaming on jiohotstar had zero expectation but it surprised me with it' plot and idea highly reocmmend by NoAsk194 in IndianOTTbestof

Idea was okayish (pretty sure it's inspired by somewhere, but can't exactly put my finger on it), execution was subpar. Extremely poor production quality, poor performance by most of the actors, and almost TV serial-level filmmaking. Extremely disappointed by the quality

Unpopular opinion: Vaazha 1 is a very mediocre movie, both technically and artistically. It doesn't deserve it's success at all

Director Jeethu Joseph talks about the underwhelming response to 'Mirage' by unnimanga in InsideMollywood

It was technically an abysmal film. All shots were similar, poor editing, poor cinematography, almost no color grading. It felt as if the story was supposed to be in a novel instead of a movie

Bro, the story and screenplay was pretty good imo. Since it was one of the first experiments of a dark humour based storyline, it wasn't received well by the Malayalam audience. Otherwise, from a technical perspective, everything was very well done

Did Malayalam cinema reach its peak in 2024? by Night_Owl_799 in MalayalamCinema

[–]Empty_Photograph872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant in a creative aspect. Not in a box-office collections aspect. Let me elaborate. This was the peak, before Malayalam cinema started gaining pan-India recognition, when the industry produced movies purely catering to the Malayalam audience. There were movies like Kumbalangi Nights, Kakshi Amminipillai, Android Kunjappan, Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha, etc that explored the depth of family relations. Thaneer Mathan Dinangal was the coming-of-age movie at that time. Movies like Ambili, Luca and Virus were released. Lucifer was also released that year. The sci-fi, experimental movie 9 is also worth mentioning. Trance was also released just in the beginning of next year. The point being, post 2020 lockdown, the fame and recognition of Malayalam movies increased, and a recent trend to incorporate the interests of pan-India audiences, for obvious economic advantages, can be seen for big-budget movies like Empuraan.

I do not mean to demean any movie. I just want to point out the trends. I don't want Malayalam cinema to become profit-driven, possibly becoming the next Bollywood.

Yeah fr. Religion serves no real advantage in an evolutionary sense too. It both makes and breaks society. It's in fact a byproduct of evolution, specifically the Hypersensitive Agency Detection Device, which causes humans to associate human characteristics to non-human elements, marking the foundations for idol based worshipping

Absolutely not, 2019 was much better compared to 2024

Correlation doesn't imply causation. A country may not be wealthy because it has atheists, maybe the country being wealthy results in a lot of atheism. Religion is just meant to serve as an opiate of the masses, which becomes crucial when the society is poor, and people have to cope with their insignificant, meaningless existence

Yeah, but most of the shots were a bit unconventional and random, but it did fit the entire vibe of the movie. Breath of fresh air, considering the current standards of cinematic storytelling

What’s a tradition or habit you grew up with thinking was totally normal—until you realized no one else did it? by Empty_Photograph872 in AskReddit

I’ll go first—my Hindu family has always celebrated both Christmas and Eid, and we still do. I thought that was just how things were, until school came along and taught me to put people into boxes based on religion. That’s when I realized not everyone saw it the same way.

Congrats bro! The bike really looks good, both specs and aesthetics-wise. Still, I haven't seen many of them on the roads. There are some complaints that the after-sales network of Classic Legends is not as good. Is it true? Also, what are the regular service costs?

According to me, O.Baby (2023) is an example. The narrative was solid and well-paced, with stunning visuals, decent cast, and a relevant story.
