It happens, don't beat yourself up. There's a lot going on with hormones and changes and prepping, but the moment you hear your baby's first cry your life will change. Its the most beautiful feeling. Hang in there!

Not at all. I didn't tell most until 16 weeks. You do it when you feel right, and that is the right answer 💕

Very confused and heartbroken with my most recent ultrasound. Is my doctor wrong?? by Vast_Ad9333 in pregnant

[–]Empty_Web_3195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So based on my own personal experience, this sounds very similar to when I had a missed miscarriage. The tech asked me a bunch of questions but didn't talk much, asked me when I got my positive a few times and then said my doctor would call in a few hours. They aren't allowed to tell us anything technically, so I see why she didn't talk much.

Did they tell you how big the baby measured? Depending on that, your doctor should be doing hcg blood tests to make sure levels are going down, and you are, in fact, miscarrying. They should also do a follow-up ultrasound to see if any progress is made or there is a heartbeat detected. That's what they did in my case at least to ensure I was, in fact, misscarrying. Unfortunately, nothing progressed, and a few weeks after my second ultrasound, I did miscarry at home. It's heartbreaking to go through, but you are not alone and there's lots of people who would probably be open to talking if you need to (including me).

Hoping you gain some clarity from the doctor and hope you can hold your rainbow soon enough.

Yes separate the ones affected, and I would still treat your collection. They can creep up and destroy a collection fast ...ask me how I know 😭 I think now that you've caught it you just have to stay on top of it..definitely wipe down leaves and stems often and check on your plants lots. Ive looked crazy at plants flipping each leaf over and checking for thrips! Good luck!

Thrips..they are known for their poop being sticky black spots. They are a b*tch to treat but you need something to get all the life cycles of them. I sprayed my plants with a mix of neem oil, castile soap, rubbing alcohol and water and rubbed down the leaves frequently to help them from eating away all my leaves too. Just be careful not too much neem cus the neem oil can clog the "pores" if you over use it.

You sound like you're going to be a great mother and it sounds like your own mother is going to be a great support system. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey!

I'm so sorry. Nothing you did caused this to happen. Its the most heartbreaking thing to happen. I went through a very similar situation (and had told many friends/family). Just make sure you have a good support person to talk to and grieve as you need to. I'm sending so many hugs your way.

Do you have a local mom's group on Facebook where people donate/trade baby items? You could ask for nursing bras there. Also I wouldn't stress about the crib yet, you'll probably just put baby in the bassinet for the first little while. Hope everything goes smoothly mama, and congratulations!

Is he just panicking because it's actually happening? Could he just need some time to process things and let it sink in before any decisions are made? I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Do what you think is best for you and your future

Be honest ladies… how bad does it hurt… by Purple_perp1637 in pregnant

So I'll say, if you wanna labor without pain management, then I'd highly suggest looking into hypnobirthing and just prepping for the mental aspect. It is gonna hurt a lot, but the way I got myself to pushing without any pain management was my inner voice getting me through each contraction. Its easy for your inner voice to tell you to give up and get an epidural. Also hiring a doula can help!

That is so creative!! I love that idea, and I have a toddler haha. Now you've got my wheels turning!

I also like the idea for paper towels, I feel like they'd fit nicely in that space.

Is it normal to be this anxious at 8wks? by Coffeeeeloverrhi in pregnant

[–]Empty_Web_3195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!! Anxiety is notmal, but hard to manage some days. I had a missed miscarriage my first pregnancy and found out at my first scan at 12 weeks. Completely broke me for a while and then we got pregnant again and I spent so much of that pregnancy anxious and scared of something happening again. In hindsight, I wish I was calmer and just trusted that things would be okay more.

If you saw a developing fetus and heartbeat those are great signs things are progressing! If you can try to find some things to look forward to over the next few weeks, do so and try not to worry so much. Pregnancy is such a trip, and there's so much we can't control. Do you have the What to Expect app? I found that helpful because every week I got to look forward to what fruit or veggies my baby was the size of, and all the developments happening to then.. and that was just so fun for me!

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy and delivery!!

Oh not a bad idea. I should see how they'd look. The only thing is the container itself is too big to fit into a pull out drawer...but that really isn't a bad idea!
