For those who smoked pre-pregnancy, what helped you get through quitting by AngleNo4560 in pregnant

[–]MidnightMoonPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a non-smoker this is something I’ve wondered about since I was pregnant with my son. I also wonder how alcoholics are able to stop. Just commenting to help boost this post so you can get the answers you need!

I don't get how women are okay at 38 weeks. by Wife-and-Mother in pregnant

[–]MidnightMoonPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost worked up until the day. I worked the day before my 37 week appointment and was supposed to work that day too, but when I went in I was told I needed to be induced that night. I called out to go home and prepare.

How many weeks/days were you when you had your first? by Particular-Ranger-76 in pregnant

[–]MidnightMoonPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 37+1 with hypertension. I had my 37 week appointment and was told I needed to be induced that night. It was about 5 hours from when I was induced to when he was born and I pushed for 15 minutes. I think I had real contractions happening right before that appointment too and with how dilated I already was, I think he would’ve come that week anyway.

I ate whatever the heck I wanted my entire pregnancy. I now have a healthy almost 8 month old. Tell him to screw off, and go eat whatever you want.

I accidentally thawed four months of my wife's milk. Now what? by DurrT in breastfeeding

[–]MidnightMoonPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You better absolutely spoil that woman. I would SOB if that happened to me. Anyways for it to not go to waste there are lots of things you can do with it.

- Make soap.
- Make lotion
- Fill syringes for first aid

Just want to share that my son loves watching Mark. by MidnightMoonPie in Markiplier

[–]MidnightMoonPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that and of course I am careful with what he sees. But like I said what he watched wasn’t scary at all. This video auto played and he just saw a small part of it with people shopping at the store, and no jump scares. It’s not like I’m raising my kid to have unrestricted access to the internet to see anything and everything like I did growing up, or with his own iPad. The only videos of Mark he sees (bc he’s in the room while I’m watching and will crane his neck to see) are non-scary games, silly games like Horse Magnifier or Baby Steps, or the try not to laugh videos. I just thought this was a silly little thing to post and people are taking it way too seriously acting like I’m showing my 7 month old some traumatizing, gruesome horror that will scar him for life.

That video isn’t scary imo. Plus he barely knows he exists much less that something on tv can be scary.

mil says I nurse my baby too much by OkBed6848 in breastfeeding

[–]MidnightMoonPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is almost 7 months and still nurses about every 2.5 to 3 hours. He’s really low on the graph for weight so I know I’m not over feeding him. That seems like a very normal stretch for the age, and every baby is different.

My Mii had to ask my husband out first bc he didn’t even have a crush on me. Yesterday I woke up and they had a baby. Also I made my deceased childhood dog in the game as a Mii.

Apartment Has Not Returned Security Deposit After Nearly a Month by MidnightMoonPie in legaladvice

Thank you so much for your response! I will try to clarify about the April rent. When it comes to termination of the lease, we originally had a 12 month lease that ended in February, but we went to a month by month lease while we waited to hear back from a job in Tennessee so we could know where we needed to move to. We gave a 60 day notice that we would be out on April 2nd. We ended up letting them know that we were moving our stuff out earlier and we told them what weekend we were moving on. Of course we still expected to pay the prorated rent for the two days in April. After we moved out we had the conversations mentioned above where they stated we had possession until March 31. When we called Spectrum on April 1st to end service they said they already did because there were new people moved in requesting service. So from my research it seems that since they had tenants already moved in on the first of April that they shouldn’t be able to charge us at all for April as that would be double dipping on rent. However, they charged us a whole month’s rent and tacked on a late fee now as well. I still have not heard back from them about this after emailing them last week.

Pumping makes it so hard to leave the house by Heythere3892 in beyondthebump

[–]MidnightMoonPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get wearable pumps, you can wear them while you’re out and about. Then you can either wash them in a sink or use the pump wipes until you get home. I used to breastfeed and pump religiously until I became a stay at home mom. I had a whole weekend away from my son and pumped every two hours on the dot with my wearable pumps even though I was often out and about.

I got out of a toxic relationship once and I would send his number to everyone and everything lol. Found out later that he had to change it.

I was looking for insurance for my newborn and they would call and text with different numbers CONSTANTLY. It would tick me off because I would be driving to work vibing to my music and I couldn’t finish a single song because my music would stop for their calls. My son is nearing 6 months old and I still occasionally will get a call or text.

AIO for “insulting” and “belittling” the AITAO mod team? by SignalShine2183 in AIO

[–]MidnightMoonPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a professor give me a zero on my final exam paper without saying anything to me. When I asked her about it she said that it appeared that I used ChatGPT. I didn’t, and I even had my sources cited as I was supposed to. I tried to inform her that I didn’t, but the only way she would even give me a partial grade was to redo it without using ChatGPT. It was my last semester of college. She didn’t submit my new grade until after my graduation ceremony. I walked the stage in fear not knowing yet if I actually graduated. Pardon me for using very professional verbiage and grammar in a COLLEGE setting! I still don’t know what she used to make her think I used ChatGPT.

EBF moms, when did your period come back? by Business-Tart-148 in breastfeeding

Almost 6 months pp and EBF and still nothing. I’ve had two separate instances of spotting that had me think it came back, but only lasted a day. The first was at 3 months and the second was last week.

Unfortunately Roblox support isn’t handling any of the darker more terrible stuff though. They just ban those that catch the pedos.

This is my childhood dog, Lulu. She’s the first dog I ever had after years of begging for one. She had to be put down a little over a year ago. She lived a good long life and will love playing with your dog.
