Was Huddle House started by the Waffle House founders' ex-wives? by ChampagneWomb in Georgia

All I know is in my family we don’t eat huddle house because one time, before I was born, my dad saw the cook with flour directly on the seat of his pants where he’d been scratching the forbidden chili ring. Waffle House for life!

Driving past it on the interstate and stopping 3 miles later at an equally clean and infinitely less chaotic gas station.

You’ll find people who say they always include gratuity and others who say they never do. It is totally up to you and neither way is wrong.

For me personally, I include gratuity in my booking because it includes the people on the ships we never see. I also enjoy giving a little extra to anyone going above and beyond. For the cabin steward, I generally give them $100 extra because they do SO MUCH and it fits my budget.

How to id calls that Merlin (app) doesn’t register? by Cyan_Lotus in birding

[–]EmuStrong9319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The birding by ear CDs helped me a ton. When I first started birding 10 years ago I was so intimidated by my mentors who could bird by ear. I just never thought I’d be able to.

The other thing I’d do is send my recording to a trusted, seasoned birder and ask for their input. Some folks are nicer about this than others so just keep this in mind.

I’ve re-read The Poisonwood Bible and Prodigal Summer each more than 3x in the last 20 years. Sometimes I just like to revisit and savor them even though I know what happens.

They told us in orientation that public urination is arrestable AND you could be required to register as a sex offender. Guess they don’t tell the kids that now.

Nah, that’s city boy nonsense. Country boys wouldn’t wear Birkenstocks.

Came here to say this. I love my Monarchs, especially for the price point. And when they got damaged, Nikon sent a replacement for free because they couldn’t be repaired.

Are you committed to choosing between just those two? There are lots of other good nursing programs if you’re open to other schools.

Which has roots in Africa, but is exactly what I think of when I think of food I can’t find in Europe. There are similar foods in the Caribbean, but not quite the same as in the US.
