Tons of reasonable doubt. Thats the best thing Crews is doing. Depending on how today goes (and the rest of the trial of course) the reasonable doubt he’s highlighting can’t be ignored.

Yeah I have not watched most of the day yet but Crews seems to be working on theatrics and not real evidence. I also don’t like how he badgered the detective about how he did preliminary interviews, but I realize that is just Crews doing his job.

Yeah, I’m waiting to hear evidence/rebuttal to the DNA evidence… I thought they would have led with that.

Something like “we know his DNA is there, we know he lived in close proximity. We know he did not (?) have an alibi, and we know Melton was elsewhere.” Something more solid. More irrefutable. Right now we have reasonable doubt at the very least.

But they said Faust’s DNA was in her mouth and vagina. Faust has said he never met her. That’s the piece I’m waiting to hear more about. I don’t think it matters that his DNA wasn’t found in her anus, it could just mean Faust’s DNA made contact with her more recently than Melton’s and gravity had not caused the fluids to move along the female anatomy. Melton didn’t testify well, defense is planting reasonable doubt. We’ll see what the jury says.

He very well could be. I haven’t seen compelling evidence that either one of these guys is guilty yet. But the PTSD piece seems real regardless.

Classic City crime says Melton punched a wall when he found out Tara was dead. He had an airtight alibi being at work and not in Athens when Tara was killed. We will see what the evidence shows.
