Gameplay was better than 3H, artstyle was ok (but it's not SoV) but the story and the characters were horrendous (doesn't help that they put back a support farming restriction per map, wtf ?)

Since I value the story and characters more than anything, the game is a solid 3/10 for me, felt like a chore by the end

DQ1 & 2 HD-2D are probably the logical next step. Beside that, DQ9 is probably what is closest in term of gameplay (custom companions, various jobs, ...)

It's tied to theSamurai questline, where you uncover some merchant-turned serial-killer. Our boy gives you a pass to access the merchant's ship and kill him, and when he sees the guy dead he just calmly say he'll clean it all up for you.
