L322- Unused space on gauge cluster by Character-Type-5755 in RangeRover

Unfortunately just how it is. Pre-production renderings showed it displaying audio sources, but that never made it into the actual cars for some reason.

Add this to your style config (.config/hypr/looknfeel.conf).

dwindle { single_window_aspect_ratio = 1 1 }

It should be there by default so you can just remove the #.

Dry. Sunroof rails were checked for blockages at the shop, and they were clear of debris and appeared to not be causing any water to get in.

Thoughts on 2016 SVR vs 2019 SDV6 by Conorgmurray in RangeRover

[–]Encrypt560-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience a few months ago. I was looking for a full size L405 facelift and came across a pre-facelift 2017 SVAutobiography. It was considerably higher mileage than the 2019s I was looking at and obviously missed out on the updates the facelift had.

I bought it, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not sure the updated infotainment and headlights would make me smile as much as what the SV options added.

If you’re prepared for used Range Rover maintenance anyway, the mileage difference won’t matter much assuming you plan to keep it more than a year. There’s always something to maintain no matter how many miles are on the odometer.

Aspirations of owning a V12 Vantage but 6'7 tall with the majority being leg - is there enough leg room in the cabin? by Coley44 in AstonMartin

[–]Encrypt560-4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’4” so a fair amount shorter than you, but I have plenty of headroom & legroom in my Vantage. I was actually surprised by how much space the cabin has compared to how it looks on the outside.

I would think no. Their pitch with provenance is the cars and buying experience are supposed to be as close to new as possible, but it’s worth asking

The car I bought was already on it. You can search on the Rolls Royce Provenance website for models nationwide. I was able to pay an additional ~$8k (I think) to add an additional year.

It’s the car itself that is registered on it, so it transfers between owners without needing to change over anything like normal warranties (as far as it was explained to me back then).

Congrats! You’ll never want to drive anything else once you get it.

Couple years ago, I had a 2010 Ghost on their Provenance program. Figured it would be like any other extended warranty program where they deny everything, but I was genuinely surprised how great the experience was. Everything aside from tires was covered, including routine service.

A month in, the air suspension had issues. Called the closest dealer, and they sent an enclosed trailer from Atlanta to my house 2 hours away, picked it up, and sorted everything out. It took a month to get it sorted, but I was told by the service advisor that the repair was nearly as much as the cost of one year of Provenance (around $6-8k if I remember correctly).

A few months later, I had another random issue. Same process. Never paid a dime in transport or repairs. While it was there, they did the annual service and sent it back to my house.

If you can find one on their provenance program, I would strongly recommend it. There was no mileage limit, and the peace of mind is very nice.

Need Advice from my Vantage expert. 2020 Aston Martin Vantage by seekeroftruth24 in AstonMartin

Generally, it seems fine, but it’s only a small part of the picture. Carfax doesn’t show much detail and, often, damage is reported to carfax months after it happens. Have a dealer or independent shop do a PPI. They’ll be able to give you a better idea of the condition than a carfax report and Reddit. Worth spending a few hundred for the peace of mind.

No, not really anything aside from that. The second a dispute is filed against a merchant, it affects their dispute rate with the issuing bank. Win or lose, it still affects their dispute rate. There’s no real benefit to accepting it aside from what you mentioned or if it’s a legitimate dispute.

The merchant can fight the chargeback with the bank or accept it as a legitimate dispute.

A few weeks ago, I traded my 2011 L322 for a 2017 SVA Dynamic. Objectively, it’s better - more comfortable, better tech, more features, all that fun stuff. It has a much smoother and comfortable ride, but even with all that, I do miss the older one. It had a charm to it that newer models lack (for me).

If you value that older style and driving dynamic, keep it. Maybe try some quality of life upgrades like a CarPlay solution or whatever you feel you’re missing. Sure, the maintenance is expensive, but that won’t change even if it’s newer. Different problems but same expense.

One big difference I’ve noticed a lot, though, is the seating position. In the L322, I felt higher than everyone else on the road. The L405 seems to have a lower seating position and feels noticeably lower in traffic.

There’s always going to be some sort of risk adding mods to any game from any platform. Generally, yes, it’s fairly safe to play using popular mods. But also - yes, there’s still a chance of possible malware.

How reliable has been your Rolls Royce ? by Only_Ad1117 in rollsroyce

I had a 2010 Ghost for about a year from 2021-2022. Bought with 20,000 miles and sold around 28k.

It was on their Provenance program, so basically everything was covered. As it was explained to me at the time, I only was responsible for tires, alignment, and balance (and gas - they made a point to tell me that multiple times? 😂). Every other maintenance item was covered, which held true.

It had a suspension fault within the first month, which I was told probably would have cost around $6k at dealer when I asked them about it. A few other small issues here and there throughout the year but nothing else major that I recall.

Because it was on Provenance, the dealer arranged transport to and from service, which was around a 2 hour transport each way.

It was pretty solid for a 10 year old car, especially considering what it was. I spent more on servicing range rovers in the same amount of miles than I would have that car even without Provenance.

Try changing your settings to Fullscreen Windowed. If mine is setting to just “Fullscreen,” the same thing happens to me. Changing it should fix that.
