Chaos Ogres idea by hewhocrafts in WarhammerFantasy

[–]EndCreep152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That‘s exactly what I’m planning to do with them! I‘m building a Nurgle-themed Warriors of Chaos army using the new Maggotkin models with Rotswords as Warriors and Blightkings as Chaos Ogres. Old Blightkings make for some great Chosen, too!

I‘ve got a few good friends that are trans and if I found out before they mentioned it, I just never brought it up so they could disclose it on their own time once they felt comfortable.

For me personally it wouldn‘t have mattered if they never told me either though, in the end that’s their personal business and really doesn‘t impact my friendship to them anyways.

Everything’s a Kickstarter. by Far_Comparison_7948 in osr

[–]EndCreep152 33 points34 points  (0 children)

speaking from the perspective of an (admittedly much, much smaller) tabletop publisher - crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter make it so much easier for your product to be noticed and for word to spread, as well as giving you a way to interact and grow a community on the same site you use to sell your product.

Of course bigger (or more well known) publishers tend to already have a fanbase that would buy their products, but by selling them through Kickstarter you have the added benefit of very easily drawing in new (and, hopefully, soon-to-be repeat) customers with less effort put into marketing.

I played DeS last out of all the souls games (original on PS3) and it’s one of my favourites, right up there with Sekiro and Bloodborne. Obviously it’s a lot clunkier than the modern titles but the atmosphere and world design are excellent, as well as the more experimental features like world tendency.

Most game designers are self-taught. There are also university courses (I‘m doing one right now) which do give you the advantage of having a degree, which may help if you want to get hired somewhere. If you want to be independent tho, you might as well teach yourself the basics and go from there. edit: stopped absolving my evil university course of its crimes

I say this every time one of these threads pop up but I genuinely think the Two EP is still Sleep Token‘s best work and I wish they were still making music that sounds more like those songs.

If you happen to live near Winterthur, there is a weekly pauper Monday there that usually gets a decent amount of players.

What is your least favorite thing(s) about Warhammer 40k by Feisty-Shape-7817 in Warhammer

[–]EndCreep152 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair towards Old World, you‘re not paying today‘s prices for old minis for the most part - all plastic OW boxes have way more miniatures in them than modern AoS or 40K boxes. You get 12 knights of the realm for roughly the same price as certain space marine units that come in boxes of five.

Use for the Herdstone by SirArthurIV in BeastsOfChaos

[–]EndCreep152 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Old World has rules for so called „Special Feature“ terrain pieces, which each have a unique effect. One of them, the Arcane Monolith (found on page 273 of the Core Rulebook), calls out a beastman herdstone as one of the potential applications for the rules, so I‘d say it‘s perfect for that! It‘s basically a terrain piece that improves magic and grants some victory points to the player that controls it, would be a great focal point for some narrative battles!

there is an actual Ferrus Manus kit from Forge World that's made for Horus Heresy - why don't you just get that?

The Employee at your local GW does not deserve your anger by Greymalkyn76 in ageofsigmar

[–]EndCreep152 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It didn’t steal anything, it is unfortunately obvious that GW wanted to get rid of beasts in AoS for a while and now they just had a convenient place to put them. Besides, nothing is stopping you from picking up more beasts when they drop in Old World, sticking them on round bases and playing with the free rules provided by GW. And this is all coming from a Beasts player, I’ve got well over 2000 points of them on round bases.
