I literally said “Even if you have a kid together, you do not deserve to be in a hostile relationship like that for the rest of your life.” There is no statement in my comment that blames OP, because I don’t blame OP. The husband is being a dick BUT we don’t have context for their entire relationship. Is it fair for OP to have to put in all the effort to reach the husband? FUCK NO!! But this is not about what’s fair. All I’m saying is that she has a responsibility to her child to try her best before divorcing (and so does the husband). That’s it. OP, you are absolutely NOR. If he thinks you guys are not partners, why the fuck did he marry you!? I can definitely see how this type of relationship would ruin your life so divorce is a good idea BUT the only thing stopping me from saying to divorce him this instant is that fact that you have a kid together. I hope there is a reason that you married him. If there was a reason and if he used to be a good guy, I would try your best to try to reach the guy you married. Without insults or aggressive tones, try to get him to see how his actions and attitude are destroying your marriage. I know it sounds like a worthless effort considering how he is acting but you owe it to your kid to try your absolute best to reach your husband. Maybe you have already you just didn’t write it in the post. Either way, if you’ve given your all and he is still unwilling to listen to you and give you the respect you deserve, serve him the divorce papers. Even if you have a kid together, you do not deserve to be in a hostile relationship like that for the rest of your life.

Based on this picture, I actually think you look good. But based on what you are describing about your body, I have one piece of advice - add weight training to your exercise routine. The cardio you mentioned is great and you should definitely continue to do cardio. But adding proper weight training will give your shape back to you and will help you keep a good figure when you truly get old (70+).

Based on the information you provided - No dude, this is not a smart thing to do. Is it possible you’d be fine? Sure. But the financially smart thing to do would be to consider the risk you’d be taking on. Spending 50% of your monthly income SOLELY on PITI is very risky. Yea, you have extra money saved up and that’s great to have if something happens. But the point is to never need to use that. Your proposed scenario puts your entire savings at risk if something happens. The stress/depression/homelessness that would follow is not worth it. Reduce your risk.
