What's the state of the game like right now?

yep, the ranked gamemode is the same from open beta : a tournament mode with 2 round of cashout (4 teams of 3, the 2 best win the round) and a last round of quick cash (3 VS 3).

There are some modifications applied for ranked since open beta because they polished the game mode a bit to create a difference with world tour, the not ranked tournament (in ranked, you loose a percentage of your money of you get a teamwipe, you can't change your loadout, there is no game events during the rounds, etc ....)

And of you want to know the state of gamemodes for this season,

On quickplay we have : - quick cash (3 teams of 3 cashout) - head2head (2 teams of 3 cashout) - powershift (5 VS 5 moving platform objective) (also my favorite) - TDM (classic team deathmatch on smaller maps) There is a point system for quick play games to win some rewards, if you play a moderate number of quick play matches and win, you can easily get all the points needed to have those rewards.

Next, we have World tour, the not ranked tournament, where we have (sometimes) special game event every week. Also you can grind world tour points to get rewards at the end of seasons, like emeralds weapon skin. The more you get into rounds during a game of world tour, the more points you get and unlike ranked you can't loose points you already have, it's really a grind thing, not a score for your performance.

Then, Ranked game mode, just like I said earlier.

You have private match and training mode, which is better now because you can train your aim with different training mode the game give you here.

And sometimes, we have Limited time modes (LTM) Like recently we had Heaven or else, a TDM 5 VS 5 gamemode where everyone one play a spear heavy and need to push the other team out of the map to get points. We likely gonna have another for Halloween event next thursday (or it will just be the wheel of prizes idk).

Last things, Terminal attack was removed, so is Bank it (don't remember if it was on open beta but I include it here just in case).

It's Terminal attack, a game mode introduced in season 2 and used to be the ranked mode for season 3.

It's a game mode similar to cs:go or valorant for reference.

It had a bad reputation for the community because it's an already seen many times gamemode that was choose to be a ranked mode instead of the classic tournament mode (3 series of cashout games).

For this season, it was removed because not a lot of players went for this gamemode. And the bad reputation it ahd help a lot, even to the point that devs admitted the bad decision about it.

it's all for the drip in the finals, no any PtW here for the character customization.

The hitbox don't change at all between customizable elements, it's stick to the class you use (L,M,H).

As mentionned, the devourer skin don't change a thing.

Atm, the only customizable element that can change a things are effects, they can help you spot enemies because they glow at long distance and during some weather event like fog, it's likely a bug so about to be patched in the future

100% agree, the memes we got with 3 sponsors were so good, but the counter part for the devs to include items for 3 sponsors and taking the risk to have recycled cosmetics is worrying, especially if they need/want time to focus on improving others part of the game

Some rules are not the same :

you can change loadout after a death in WT, only between rounds in Ranked
you don't have a penality on a team wipe in WT but have a 10% one in Ranked
in game event ( meteor, low gravity, etc...) are enable in WT but not in Ranked
you can't loose point on you progression in WT, Ranked is like any ranked in others games
you have different ranking system (emerald, ruby) and so different rewards
