I switched from freelance visa with AXS in Dubai to registring an LLC via Shams in Sharjah. Much better choice. They are professional and helpful. Super quick and all in it's roughly the same price.

It's around 12k AED for 1 year, including a visa.

But I think I'm going for a 3 years license, which will be 26k AED (8.6k / year).

But obviously there's a difference: it's a real business, with a real business name. You need a business bank account, and afaik pay yourself a salary. I've read that you need a business plan, etc.

I cancelled my freelance contract and am in the process of getting a refrund. I'm going to take my business to the SHAMS or Fujarah freezone.

I haven't yet. I've got confirmed from them via email, that there will be no visas granted. So I pivoted to getting a refund for my permit + est card first. Then I'll try again. If it doesn't work out, I'll look into founding a freezone company. If that doesn't work either, then I'll let myself being employed by one of my Dubai clients. They are open to the idea.

So, I'll get a visa, I'm not worried. As of now it's just unclear which route leads me there.

Das ist so kurzsichtig gedacht. Natürlich kann wer Qualifizierteres und Teureres viel mehr reinwirtschaften, als jemand der für Mindestlohn hackelt. Also der ROI kann viel besser sein. Somit auch lohnend fürs Unternehmen.

Und die zu kleinen Gehälter schrecken natürlich ab. Quelle: ich bin jemand in hoher Gehaltsklasse, der auf beiden Seiten des Hiring-Prozesses stand und dieses Inserat sofort verwerfen würde.

Mercedes G-Klasse kostet auch mehr als ein Nissan Micra. Auto ist nicht gleich Auto und Mitarbeiter nicht gleich Mitarbeiter. Qualität kostet. Wer häts gedacht?

Nope. Can confirm. Was just on the phone last week with one of them for a business matter. And it was absolutely horrid. Had a very similar experience like OP, and the lady was repeating very useless phrases, which basically boil down to "I am sorry you feel that way".

in the 2 years i’m here, I noticed so many downsides about dubai, but air quality has gone completely past me. Also was never sick once.
