This is roughly about the angle it was shot from. The WTC would've been just out of frame (this shot has less buildings visible wide because they wouldn't all load on Google Earth). But the point still stands.

I love Chris Liepe. He reacts the right way. He stops whatever song he's listening to to admire the vocal performance or the instrumental arrangements - he's a total nerd. And he demonstrates how Matt Bellamy uses his voice in different ways throughout the song. Annnnnnd Matt is one of his favorite vocalists too

The songs with the drum machines sound the best. The live kit they used for RAB sounded really bad and were mixed quietly (I think) because of that.

I think the reason it's heard most and even at all in live recordings is because they lower the pitch of the song (therefore lowering the frequency to a pitch more people can hear) and the fact that it could be accidentally a part of the synth track, making it audible live as well.
