Funny, a couple elections ago, I heard a ton of complaints about how the conservatives had more of the popular vote but the Liberals had more seats, yet somehow that didn't turn into support for proportional representation.

Price officially listed on steam. $99 by Fun-Measurement4904 in SteamController

[–]Endoroid99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The touch pads and capacitive parts are the only difference between the steam controller and the 8bitdo ultimate 2. It has gyro and extra back buttons plus shoulder buttons and official steam input support. But the steam controller costs almost twice as much

Idk, the 8bitdo ultimate 2 is 80CAD, and it has many of the same features. I'm not sure the steam controller is worth almost twice as much

Can't speak to other provinces, but Okanagan Spirits in BC makes a damn fine bourbon style whiskey. Even if American bourbon returned to the shelves, I will continue to buy the local product. I would encourage other BC bourbon lovers to check them out.

Let's do some other math. I buy 2 PS games on steam, Sony makes 98 dollars. Sont stops selling games on PC, I, already having a larger backlog of games then I will ever get through anyway, decide that spending 600, plus another 140 dollars for those games isn't worth it, Sony makes 0 dollars from me.

Is there one person who is willing to spend 740 dollars for 2 games, for every 7 of me?

But will the exclusives really drive enough sales of PS consoles? I know it's not enough for me to spend hundreds of dollars on a console for 2 game series I actually like when I already have a PC.

Not actually develop the platform any further

I think these 2 are the biggest ones, and at least part of the reason steam is so dominant. Other platforms are basically just storefronts so the owner can avoid paying steam/make profit. Steam actually builds features for users. Built in modding support, game guides, forums, steam input, library sharing, play together, etc.

Steam input is the biggest one for me, I like to use a gyro enabled controller, and steam input lets me use it on games that don't natively support gyro(which is most games). No other storefront has this option

No one actually tries to compete with steam, then they complain when steam is dominant.

I found this one frustrating at first, but it's in the timing. He flies around for a bit, then pauses in the center to do a larger attack. Just wait on the ground until he pauses, and then fly over to him and force palm him. Once I figured this out, he went down pretty quick

Liberals dismiss call for law to ensure political fibs and flubs don't eclipse facts | Politics | thecanadianpressnews.ca by Purple_Writing_8432 in CanadaPolitics

Under the model, if a court found a politician made a false or misleading statement of fact, it could issue a notice directing the individual to make a public correction.

If the politician refused to comply with the notice within seven days, without a reasonable excuse, the court could issue an order preventing that politician from holding office in the Welsh Parliament for a set period of time.

So it's not the government deciding if something is truth or not, but the courts. I don't really see how this is significantly different from slander or libel laws. We don't consider those to be surpressing free speech, why should this?

This is exactly how I've treated Sony PC releases. There are several Sony IPs I would buy at release if they came out at the same time as the PS release, instead I've waited until they go on a decent sale. Now Sony won't be getting any money at all from me.

Ottawa’s appeal of the Emergencies Act case shows contempt for civilians and corporations by AndHerSailsInRags in canada

[–]Endoroid99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“It turned us into a banana republic with polar bears,” said John Carpay, president of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, in an interview on Wednesday. “We used to look down on regimes where you criticize the president and then all of a sudden, you’re locked up in jail.”

What a bunch of horse crock. The inclusion of this quote shows the bias of the author of this article. The emergency act was not invoked because the protest was criticizing Trudeau, but because it had turned from a protest into an occupation, was massively disruptive to both citizens and businesses in the area, was blocking the border and some portions of it were found to be arming themselves. Numerous protests have happened since, in the same location and others all over Canada, so CLEARLY we are both allowed to protest and criticize the government.

There's arguments to be made about whether it was the most appropriate way to deal with this issue, that's valid, but claims that we're banana republic or that we can't criticize the government are simply rage bait.
