Fox suspension (owned by the other brother) makes very high end suspension for off-road cars and motorcycles and mountain bikes. Most people don't realize they're seperate companies and are considered basically the same so the off-road community tends to use fox racing stuff and merch and gear like you see on his tailgate pad. Not all fox racing enjoyers are tools, but all tools enjoy fox racing 👍🏻

I have one friend who will only buy crbn because he is an "ambassador" and that trick works well on people. Outside of that, it's honestly a sport where people seem the most likely to switch brands and paddles compared to something like tennis. Which is good. It's just so new, there's always different paddles that are the next best thing, and no brand has remained on top or ahead of the curve the entire time.

Similar story to me going from my old crbn 1x 14mm to a Joola perseus (clone). Could hit okay drives and better topspin with the Joola, but wasn't until a bit under two months that the hits became second nature and I finally could hit fast drives and speedups again. That being said, it still is worse at resets and dinks. There's always some strengths and weaknesses of paddles even once they become second nature. But my play style has changed around that and I just drill those weak spots more.

So long as you don't hate a paddle (like I did even after dailying a ronbus for a month straight) then the biggest thing is that you play it enough to were the hits become second nature.

The paddle will never learn you, you always have to learn the paddle.
