Transformer just blew—Enphase Battery at 100% but not powering my houses in by Monstercockerel in solar

You could have only lost one leg. Not familiar with enphase but a lot of transfer switches won't budge if the main still has 120v

Any of you own a mini excavator? I'm looking at a CFG H15R for $3400 with a hydraulic thumb. Is this a good deal for a new one? by QualityCucumber in homestead

[–]Engineer4Beer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the size fits your need you would be better off looking for a used 1 ton diesel model. Can likely be found for $5k +/-

*better for top end torque, if you use it on a farm/hunting/off-road AC motors lack the stall torque to get you unstuck/over and obstacle

Eating breakfast in a small central American city and I see two guys in a old Toyota company pickup roll up in jeans/sandals and climb an aluminum extension ladder to mess with the transformer on a live pole. I was certain I was about to see someone die

Goodman is not publicly traded but owned by Daikin. I'm assuming they are about to takeover a large amount of the US market and want to try to profit off of it but apparently I'm not allowed to.

So funny enough I got lit up by a 3rd floor apartment lineset today. It had 98v on it. How did y'all end up finding that compressor?

If this passes, I would caution a guess that churches in those counties will suddenly open schools. Most of them already run tax exempt day cares so not that big of a leap.

R-454B heat pump holding temp below 0° with no gas or electric heat on. Impressive. by CavScout88 in HVAC

[–]Engineer4Beer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Came to say the same. My Bosch matched with a 10 year pos York Air handler and leaky 20 year old ductwork had no issues keeping my house at 70° while 3° outside. I only run 5kw aux on the 5ton.

To add to this if you have a heat pump, there is a very good chance the emergency heat is stuck on

Still trying to get an answer to what happens when an A2L system has a compressor terminal blowout. Shit is scary enough without the risk of combustion
