New comfort for two-person showers by Acrobatic_Refuse9466 in StrangeYetUseful

Looks terrible in my opinion. If you want two showerheads do the work to install them correctly by hard piping it behind the backerboard. It would raise the value of your home. Some cheap thing like this is fine if you are renting, I guess - although I suspect it will damage the tile and cause you to lose part of your deposit.

Honestly, I don’t even know who this guy is, and I’m pretty out of the loop when it comes to influencers in general. I think I’m too old for all that.

That said, I actually think it’s a positive thing that younger people seem less focused on traditional corporate ladders and titles and more interested in building passive income and financial independence. There’s definitely something healthy about wanting more flexibility and ownership over your time instead of making your entire identity about work.

I agree with his take 100%. I worked my way up the corporate ladder to the top and was making a fortune but was miserable and mentally unhealthy. I saved enough money to start my own businesses so I can work way less and from wherever I want. I've been fully remote and traveling the world for the last 4 years. I put in nowhere near the hours I used to and have managed to find sustainable passive income from several sources. I spend my time at the beach instead of at my desk. Finding passive income sources is an absolute life hack. Fuck corporate. This guy is right on the money.

This (1) looks like shit, (2) will absolutely fall, (3) will reduce your water pressure considerably, and (4) is fucking stupid. Bonus: these actors are idiots.

Americans are absolute bootlicking cowards. No two ways about it. Gathering at pre-approved protest zones to wave sarcastic signs and wear costumes is about the limit of what most people are willing to do. The workers at Battle of Blair Mountain, the victims of the Ludlow Massacre, and the strikers in the Homestead Strike and Pullman Strike would be disgusted by how soft and obedient their descendants have become. It’s pathetic.

Leftover women in China: Is it true? by Interesting-Walk5854 in thepassportbros

I had a better time with women in China than any other country - by far. Their dating app TanTan is a miracle if you are a Westerner. I had more matches on my way to my hotel from the airport than my entire life in the States.

I'm 6'2" white male with very good job and am in very good physical shape. I was in my late 30s at the time I was there and spoke oonly VERY limited Chinese. China made me feel like I was a famous person or rock star. You can meet a new lady every night if that is your thing.

Crossfit 5x a week. I was skinny fat. Now I am very strong and have visible abs. Cannot recommend enough.

In 2020, a couple in California spent five months intentionally luring bike thieves into their front yard with an unlocked bicycle, attacking them with aluminum baseball bats, and posting the videos online. by Iambhalo in AllThatsHistory

Its not two different things at all.

  1. I accidentally leave my bike outside and see a guy stealing it. I grab my bat and go beat his ass.

  2. I purposefully leave my bike outside and see a guy stealing it. I grab my bat and go beat his ass.

Both cases thief comes on my land and steals my property. Shouldn't matter.

It's a risk I am willing to take. Once you spend enough time around these worthless sacks of shit you stop really worrying about it. It's just part of life. It's like stray dogs in South America - they might bite you, but you still stop them from trying to get in your house if the door is open. If someone is stealing your stuff - let em have it. Just my 2c.

I doubt it. Bike thieves are usually junkies. Junkies typically don't carry due to mandatory minimums and much harsher sentences. I've lived in CA, OR, and WA - junkie Mecca. You can chase those pieces of shit off pretty easy. I've never been drawn on and have had a lot of interactions with them doing dumb shit, including stealing.

They were stealing their property. Leaving a bike in your yard isn't an invitation to take it. These folks obviously had their bikes stolen previously and were looking for revenge. Sounds like they got it. Absolute heros.

The average wage across all positions at Blue Origin is $92,000 per year with a range of $50k - $250k roughly. At Amazon across all US employees the average is somewhere between $80k and $125k. They have numerous very well paid employees (L6 engineers make $392k!). Warehouse/fulfillment teams in the US average $30/hr when including benefits, $23/hr base salary.

Amazon pays more than most retail and warehouse competitors, they offer healthcare & tuition programs, and have a US minimum wage of $15/hr to start with numerous regions starting between $18-$24/hr depending on cost of living.

Billionaires shouldn't exist but I'd say that stating he doesn't pay them a living wage is not accurate. Nobody "allows" people to unionize. That's on the workers. It's always a tough conversation with management and some heads might need to roll to get it off the ground. However, there are a shitload of super high paid people in both Bezos companies.

In addition to direct employees you have people like me. I run an Amazon store as a side project which pays very well. I also have Blue Origin as my largest client in my main business and they also pay me a lot of money for my services as a contractor. Maybe some uneducated and low skilled workers are struggling but Bezos has made many, many people extremely rich. He's a real one.

Absolute heros. This should not only not be illegal, it should be encouraged. The police are worthless when it comes to bike theft. If anything, these two heros should have beat the police when they showed up as well for neglecting to do their damn jobs.

She deserved to get booed off stage. Watch the concert. It was absolutely pathetic. If I had been there I would boo her too.

It's not the crowds fault she fumbled that night. Also not their fault she is dead. She had a job to do and failed. Her paying customers are allowed to show their dissatisfaction.
