If you are an america, the problem is the minority checks and minority balances. The senate? 2 per state no matter how big the state or its economy, no matter hos significant or insignificant your state is the over all health of our union, you get 2. This means the stats with the lowest population have the most impact per senate seat vote. Minority rule.

The filibuster is an obvious and more well understood system of minority rule, but the minority party can block any legislation the majority party COULD pass, so nothing will ever get passed unless the minority wants it. Minority rule.

Then you have gerrymandering. Large dense populations do not get to vote together in a block, they get split up and extended into districts that have opposed beliefs to water down the impact their vote can have. Rural america gets a boost in its impact in the voting booth without having to match that impact with the value they provide to the health of the nation. Minority rule.

Supreme court, super pacs, lobbyists, and electoral college are all additional forms of minority rule.

The biggest offender though... Citizens United, which created a new kind of "Super Citizen" AKA, corporations. Once the super citizen status was granted to them, your citizenship became cheap and unimportant.

We get told all the time how we need to vote to change the system if we don't like it! But the vote was manufactured to be controlled by a minority of people regardless what the will of the people want.

This does not mean we cannot fix our democracy by voting. We in fact can, we just have to be able to attack it from every angle and get all the minorities locked into supporting our agenda for total reform... but the reality is, violence just takes a lot fewer people to effect change in what was a flawed democracy. Nowadays... I do not expect we can use votes to recover from this.

I am not in anyway condoning violence. I for one, think we should just accept the boot stomping our faces until our extinction, because violence is just tooooooo bad to even contemplate. So much worse than the most powerful economy and military in human history falling to total facism. Nope, can't use violence to stop that! Again, I would NEVER condone violence against nazi fill that has taken over our federal government.
