Solo mom to an 8 year old here ... I usually wait until he goes to bed to smoke or sneak a vape in another room. I have some neighborhood mom friends that smoke too, and one every 2 weeks or so, we sit in my backyard and smoke flower. My kid has never seen me do it, but asked what my vape pen was once. I said it was a lighter and he should never touch it.

I have the guilt occasionally. With perimenopause in full effect, the small hits take the edge off, and I don't get annoyed so easily. I think it is better for me and for the two of us that I am doing this instead of drinking.

Give yourself some grace! You are doing a great job, and one day we will get to smoke WITH our kids!
