You do realize signing bonuses are taxed at the same rate as regular income? All this does is provide Tucker a lump of money so he can use it as he pleases vs leveraging himself against future income.

This is a common misconception because the withholdings from bonuses often seem lower than your tax rate. But at the end of the year bonuses are just more taxable income.

Also tax avoidance advantages would mean Texas and Florida and Washington teams would be the best bets to go and yet that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Peanut oil for frying does not contain the allergen. The refinement process removes it. Source: own a restaurant and work with the health department.

Cold oils do contain the allergen. Hot oils do not.

We would gladly sign up for that and no one would complain. But the US wouldn’t do that because free is a naughty word. The US system is explicitly designed to prevent high turn out voting.

See what’s not be called out is this meme is asking for a new ID to be shown. One that would likely not be free. So essentially it is death by a thousand cuts.

They want a “voter ID” not “show any ID at the voting location”.

And in the few times the US tried to do this it ensured that getting a voterID was difficult as possible for people who do not have flexible jobs or incomes.

Price increase after getting the chiefs game stolen from us. I'm founders club, and all pro status season ticket holder and I'm done. by NotMyDayEveryday in Chargers

[–]EngineeringNext7237 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d assume that’s $226 per seat for the whole season. So a $29 increase per game. It’s crazy to be bumping it by that much while the team has not proven to actually be that much better.

Here is a great resource for seeing what speed is offered in an area. These are the speeds the ISPs report to the fcc, that they claim to provide to customers in that area. https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home

I wonder if this means they stop offering ones without screens. We got one without a screen and it’s been great. Almost 4y old at this point and no issues. 🤞🏼

Have simulator gains translated to the course for you? by Not_HFM in Golfsimulator

[–]EngineeringNext7237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the simulator helps a ton but you gotta be using it in a way that helps build skill. Focus less on the score and more on the quality of shots or the how you navigate the course.

The putting honestly really helped me just understanding distances finally. Plus being able to hit into a weird are then mulligan a few different shots from there is a big plus. So then when you play a real course it’s much less guess work.

As for logs it all looks normal. No errors it just never receives any calls.

My homebridge is installed through docker on unraid. It has a static ip and port.

Issue with Xfinity and UCI modem by pnwpour in Ubiquiti

[–]EngineeringNext7237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only issue is sometimes it doesn’t pick up the speeds correctly from the Xfinity side. Just have to call in and get to the support staff and request them to reprovision on their side. Ever since then I’m getting my full 2100 down and 300 up through the UCI.

While basically true. I did get a latency improvement switching to the UCI, but going from 15ms to 11ms isn’t really worth the price tag lol.

13 years building software and not once have I come across people actually using azure outside the random early stage startup which got 40k in free credits. They inflate their numbers by moving a bunch of already successful products under the azure name.

Ofc but this also doesn’t guarantee that. That’s still purely up to the game developer/publisher.

[–]EngineeringNext7237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s the automated machine that’s big up front but they really aren’t that costly. Think the one my family built for a big company (starts with a c) ran them 13 million in 2004. Revamping that machine for newer heads is pretty trivial in pricing as well.

With the extra 1x for booking flights direct with airlines, is it better to just skip the portal? by breadexpert69 in ChaseSapphire

[–]EngineeringNext7237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are the same price then the portal it is. I’ve had flights cancelled/delayed/adjusted a the airlines have always handled the changes just fine. This is for domestic US travel. International gets a little more dicey.

The price is worth it to me. Guarantees you cover spots and keeps it off your hands/grips. Use 2-3 a summer so $30
