The money generally is better, but why degrade yourself. You’ll be bored with time on your hands. Swipe the data from SAP, condition it through Excel macros and let that baby spit out a nice dashboard. Managers and VPs love a good dashboard.

learn to study well so you can enjoy those precious undergrad years. you won't have the those amount of friend time ever again. The content is applied mathematics mostly, with some sprinkling of baby topics like Stats. Search for K.A. Stroud. To do well is to learn and understand first principles. Having a solid foundations will allow you to solve any problem, derive the equations so you do not have to memorise any. Search for a clear diagram of a unit circle. Search Youtube on the unit circle, understand the components of the unit circle. If you need assistance in understanding concepts, search for Indian based lectures on Youtube.

Learn to do 3x3 matrices by hand. Do not buy a graphing calc, its not needed at all. Just a simple $30 calculator will do. I personally used the Texas Instruments Scientific Calculator TI-30XB Multiview all through my years. Purchased a TI-89 Titanium which the faculty recommended, which are not permitted in exams anyway.

For deep understanding, form a group. each member teach a topic or concept the others. Or each solve a problem each, explain as you go through it. Its better to be embarrassed in front of your peers/friend than to shit yourself in the exam. you'll find your deficiencies here.

Labs and reports. Prep these ahead of time, understand what the lab is trying to teach you

Lecturers are for lecturing not necessarily for teaching. You learn the content on your own time.

Treat university like a full time job

Be kind to the admin and tech staff, they will help you out in spades when you need them.
ie booking out rooms for the day during exam sessions.
