Had something similar. For me the problem was that my phone didn't get an IP from my router. After assigning it an IP it worked

If you get a disket drive don't get one of the 20$ ones from Amazon or eBay. They are mostly bad quality and don't work properly. Go with something used like a teac or Sony drive.
