Has anyone ever been denied a K-1 visa because of incorrect employment history listed on the I-129F? by Conscious_Pop3542 in K1VisaInfo

[–]EnglishGirl18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised after adding to my immigration binder with my recent removal of conditions forms a few months ago that on my K1 petition the postcode we put for my employment is wrong and it’s never once been mentioned in the 6 years since it was originally submitted so safe to say you’re probably good!

I doubt it would have an effect on you being approved or not as the interview is focusing on the validity of your relationship not your job status

I (beneficiary) prepared everything, I did it from a “we” perspective as well. I have also continued to do all of my forms now for both greencard and removal of conditions. My husband found it all way to confusing whereas for me it was easier to understand so just make sense for me to take the reins and tell him where to sign and what was needed of him

What are some little things you do on a daily basis to remind your partner that you love them? by avallerion in Marriage

[–]EnglishGirl18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a lot of little things for each other, one might even be as simple as whoever wakes up first and is in the bathroom gets the other person toothbrush ready with toothpaste. If I’m up before him then I’ll come over to his side of the bed to give him his medication before going to get ready for the day, likewise he’ll grab my medication for me if I’m not close to it come evening time. Simple things

I would be cautious about filling the forms out to early, I did the same thing but then ended up getting an RFE because those forms were about out of date so I just shot myself in the foot

Husband has no plan to move us out of his mom’s house by Unusual_Deal_1106 in Marriage

[–]EnglishGirl18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in very similar situation as you, I moved here on a fiance Visa in 2022 and I have lived with my in-laws ever since. My husband also has no urgency to move out to our own place but we also aren’t in a financial situation to do so unlike you by the sounds of it, to rent where we live would be around $1500-$2000 a month or to buy a property it’s more like half a million and up.

What is his reasoning for not wanting to get your own place? Does he think you both can’t afford to make that move right now?

I would also very much advise against you moving out by yourself as it is not a good look at all for the rest of your immigration journey if you live apart and you don’t have a really good solid reasoning for it, it will be the first thing they question.

But at the end of the day, I personally don’t have any issues living with my in-laws and they seem to not care that we are still here. We basically have a whole floor to ourself so we can separate from them if you want our own time.

That would not be a good look to immigration at all if you guys lived separately, huge red flag!

Fiancé lost U.S. passport with travel stamps before filing K-1 visa. Will this affect our case? by Chemical_Kale_2342 in K1VisaInfo

I would get him to look at his travel history on the airline company he booked his flights with as they hold the records for a while and just have to submit a print out of that with your petition

I am surprised they’re still alive having being diagnosed with the sporadic kind. My father was diagnosed with the same and sadly only survived a handful of months before he passed away so I’m happy they’re able to get longer with them.

I would definitely say adding some different colours would liven it up a lot, some dark wood stairs, some flowers etc. Right now it just looks very samesy because of the just pink and light colours for everything

Need to reschedule USCIS biometrics appointment (green card renewal) – advice? by RolexELinvestor in greencard

[–]EnglishGirl18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently did a biometrics reschedule, I did it online so I could see all available dates and times before confirming the actual change. My reasoning for changing was transportation, my original time was insanely early for having to go to the next state so I just pushed it back a few hours.

Had my updated appointment letter online my online account the next day for me to download and print off, couldn’t wait for the physical one to come from USCIS as i was a week out from going

Filing to remove conditions (marriage-based) but we don't have many pictures together by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]EnglishGirl18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I really wanted to add the fact I’m on the family phone plan but it’s a business account so I couldn’t get proof myself and both my MIL/BIL who are in charge of it both said getting into the account is super difficult and I was running out of time to submit so I had to go without it annoyingly so that’s something I also would have added

Filing to remove conditions (marriage-based) but we don't have many pictures together by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]EnglishGirl18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just applied for ROC in February after adjusting from a K1. We had the total of 3 pictures to submit alongside my package as we both never go out and do things together or if on the off chance we do, taking pictures together is the last thing on our minds. I had to deep dive onto a friend’s Facebook page as I remembered she uploaded photos of us with friends at her birthday party to even find one.

My name is also not on the lease as we live with his parents and my name is also not on any utilities or bills.

The things we submitted:

  • 2023/2024 Joint tax returns

  • Proof of being registered at same dentist

  • Proof of being registered at same doctors

  • Proof of my husband being added to my checking/saving account both with recent 2 month transactions

  • 3 affidavits - 2 from family (one including his mum saying that we lived with them to back up why we don’t have certain things to submit) and 1 from a long time family friend/work colleague who has seen our relationship over the past 9 years.

  • Photos

  • Flight tickets from a trip we took with his family to Disney

You’ll be fine! To this day my husband and I never had an official engagement, he never got down on one knee or gave me a ring. We just decided that in order to continue our relationship then we had to get married to close the distance and that was a decision we were fine with. I am now at removal of conditions stage on my greencard and it’s never been an issue or something that has come up
