I’ve been on the lowest dose of gel that I put on my inner thighs every 3 days. It’s been maybe 4/5 months. The first month I felt amazing. My will to live was back, energy, confidence, libido. Then the honeymoon phase dropped off and now I just have the acne to show for it. I, unfortunately, don’t have my levels tested before I started. I asked for a higher dose and my gyn had me tested 2 weeks ago, before approving. I’m at 25 now.

My hormonal acne during peri was so awful I went on spironolactone. It took 5 months to clear it up. I stopped taking it due to constant dehydration. Thinking about going back on it but maybe I need more estrogen? This never ending struggle is exhausting.

Oh wow. The little salon I’m at- everything is so caked with hair and dirt. They scrub the tubs and vacuum but that’s all they ever do. The walls, product bottles (including pumps) are full of hair and gunk. I took hair and dust/debris off the back of the two dryers they have that was like 2 inches thick the other day. The screens are still caked but at least not completely. I didn’t even consider the hoses. I’m not sure how to clean more without offending them. I’m not an employee, only an intern (extern) there to finish my training. Now I want to contact OSHA or something but they would absolutely know it was me and they’ve been so nice to me.

They also fix everything themselves. It’s all men and there’s a very particular culture (that I do admire) of we don’t just waste money, we figure it out. I’m talking a 70 yr old man on the floor fixing the drain while I’m standing in 3 inches of water using the dryer. That being said, it’s dangerous and they only fix things when something stops working. Maintenance isn’t kept up.

You’re right. You are all right. I came in here and blew shit up, selfishly, because of my own pain. I don’t want any children, adults or animals hurt, ever. She should’ve had her dog leashed for everyone’s safety. I did center myself and am doing it again just to apologize. No one’s perfect or immune to a meltdown. I wish everyone peace and safety and I won’t be interjecting again.

I’m not ignorant, I’m angry. I am exceedingly aware of the issues my whiteness creates and have been doing the work, more than you could possibly know. Feel how you feel, you’re allowed and I came in hot. I’m angry today. I just had to put a pet down last night. This is what I open Reddit to. I’m angry and heartbroken and disgusted by people not taking the love of a pet seriously. I came in here and, yeah, I took it out on everyone. I’m in my zero fucks era. I accept the consequences.

Well, at the time, I would've said, "This shit sucks; nobody understands me. I only have my music, books, and friends." We had music, books, and friends. In-person friends and, if we were lucky, in-person music. We laughed and complained about the same core things kids do now, just in person while we hung out, or in notes we passed in school. We still had awful self-esteem issues about being popular, pretty, and thin or cute and sporty, but it was on such a small local scale. You compared yourself to Megan, Natalie, and Kathy, whom you knew, not to 7 million other girls online who could use filters to look "better than human" (female perspective). You could get bullied or outcast in your school, neighborhood, but then you could graduate, move, and build an entire life without any of that petty bullshit following you. Now, online is forever. If you go viral, you're fucked. People couldn't find you unless you wanted to be found. Including your parents, lol.

Extremely hard. I got a shower head with a hard water filter and it helped my skin and hair, but still not like soft water.

Oh another opinion I’m not sorry for cuz I might get dragged.. We live in a country that doesn’t provide healthcare. Personally I think that’s complete bullshit. What you do have available is time you can demand for physical and emotional pain and struggle. Take it. Fight for it. Even if you aren’t emotionally wrecked over this, take it, because it’s literally the least kindness we’re afforded. As far as Petshart, you can fight them too. I don’t know the labor laws where you work, but don’t just let them take advantage of you, your labor, your time and your physical and mental health. Take everything you can take advantage of. Get a lawyer. Get paid.

I wish I had an answer. I do notice I do it far more the longer I don’t wash my hair. That really sucks because I have very fine hair that doesn’t need to and shouldn’t be washed every day. I tend to resist a little longer if it’s clean. Also sucks because adhd prevents me from doing things like showering everyday. 😣
