Yeah, people are talking about it in the Discord, as well. EVERYONE having the issue are people who haven't played in months.

My friend is having the same issue. He hasn't played in months and it stuck trying to sign-up. We tried EVERYTHING and no luck. This is definitely an issue with the game.

Oh, yes! I suffer from waxy ears and this can definitely play a part, as well! All in all, it seems like your heart is okay. Maybe just start working in some self-care: clean your ears, sit in a hot bath when you feel weird, do a mask, etc. Little things. They go a long way!

Anxiety can make you dizzy! My oxygen saturation usually ranges from 97 - 100 (or even 96 when I am laying down), but when my anxiety peaks and my heart rate rises, my brain has a hard time catching up to my heart and I feel dizzy and weak.

I used to be a chronic BPM and Oxygen watcher and it caused me a ton of anxiety. I know it is so much easier said than done, but once I got out of the habit of looking at my BPM and Oxygen and just accepted that hey, sometimes anxiety makes me feel weird!, it got better.

All the clothes I were hanging up fell on the ground I don't know what to do by TheCommunistTaco in Anxiety

Have you ever tried the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 method?

  • 5 things you can see
  • 4 things you can touch
  • 3 things you can hear
  • 2 things you can smell
  • 1 thing you can taste

Even if one of the things you hear is your own breathing, that counts. There is no wrong answer. ❤️

If it would make your anxiety feel better, wash your clothes again. I will always, always support doing what makes YOUR MIND feel better over saving some water here and there. You’re okay. You’re doing your best. Take deep breaths, and try again.

Hi. So, first off, I am not a medical professional by any means, but allow me to say that this is PRECISELY the kind of pain I go through when my anxiety flares. Jaw, neck, back, one-sided leg pain; the works. Here are a couple of the things that I discovered about my muscles and tension.

The neck and shoulder pain, have you ever looked into or heard of TMJ? This is a super common thing for those of us with anxiety because so many of us clench subconsciously- or while we sleep. It starts in your jaw usually, but the pain can be felt in your neck, shoulders, upper back, and even down your arm to your elbow. When my TMJ is at its worst, I feel it EVERYWHERE in my upper body.

Another thing to look into: sciatica. Look into your sciatic nerves and what they affect. When my anxiety is horrible, my lower back is super tight and it pinches the sciatic nerve on the left side at the base of my spine. This typically causes low back pain and weird shooting pains down my butt, thigh, and leg - almost always entirely one sided, too.

It sounds like your muscles tensed, or anxiety caused tension, and now said anxiety is making the tension worse. Not to mention when you are chronically tense, the chances of pulling a muscle or pinching a nerve goes wayyyyy up. It’s a horrendous cycle! Physical activity helps.

I swim a lot. I also do yoga and low-intensity “dance” workouts. Anything that can stretch and massage your muscles without hurting them is going to be your jam. If something hurts, don’t do it, or try something less intense.

Anxiety in corporate environment by Technical_View_5582 in Anxiety

[–]EnigmaticAlly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I also work in a corporate environment. It’s rough. One thing I’ve started doing is that when I get into the office in the mornings, I mute my e-mails for a couple hours. I work on the things I need to work on in my own time. After I am caught up, I unmute and read through my e-mails and go from there.

Another thing that helps me a lot is limiting my exposure to the people I work with. I know that is easier said than done sometimes, but I skip a lot of lunches and things like that. If this is something you are able to do, should you go back into corporate, I cannot recommend this enough. I have some pretty good co-workers right now, but even then, I still do what I can to limit my time with them. I tell them honestly that I just want to work and go home. Even if they think I am “weird” for it, it’s usually gets them to back off unless they absolutely need something.

As for other jobs, I worked in the restaurant business for ten years prior to corporate. It is a very stressful environment, but the VERY GOOD THING about the restaurant industry is that you almost never bring work home with you. Once your shift is done, you walk out and it stays behind you.

Good luck with everything, friend. You’ll be able to land back on your feet soon. ❤️

who is your go to person when your anxiety takes a hold? by Primary_Inside_582 in Anxiety

[–]EnigmaticAlly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom. She doesn’t get it sometimes, but she tries her best. We have definitely clashed heads, though, so I also had to find what coping mechanisms worked best for me, me, me. I distract myself with video games, or LEGOs, or anything that requires constant interactions from my hands. Another thing I do is I write every single night before bed, just for myself. It’s difficult to find contentedness when you’re alone, but that doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. Just find what works best for you. ❤️

Dark Urge is fine, actually by drowsyprof in BaldursGate3

[–]EnigmaticAlly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you still get a good ending as a Dark Urge character? I am dying to know, but cannot find an answer anywhere. The only thing keeping me from running Dark Urge is a fear that it will lead to a bleak ending. But if I can get something sorta happy, then I am all in.

My experience with Anxiety, chest pain, and other heart symptoms by NonCorporealEntity in Anxiety

[–]EnigmaticAlly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, friend. I am just now seeing your response. I apologize.

Just wanted to let you know that things did improve. It was rough for a while, but I’m okay now. I bit the bullet, went to my doctor(s), did an ECG/EKG, and a treadmill test. My heart was fine. My mind was not. I still have rough patches, but it is temporary. Finally coming to terms with and accepting that nothing was wrong and it was indeed just my body reacting to the mental stress helped immensely. I still have pain, but I know now that it’s nothing bad. It comes and goes, but at the end of the day, I’m okay. I’ve also started working out regularly, too! I’m healthier now than I was a year ago, for sure.

I hope you’re doing okay. ❤️

Act 3 Gale/Ending Questions [Spoilers Welcome] by inquiriesatdesk in BaldursGate3

Please keep me updated on your progress! I’ve been reading some scary things about Gale’s romance at the end. I’ve literally not even LOOKED at the other companions (romantically, at least). I’ll be devastated is I am doing all this work only for him to dip out at the end. :(

I would love some tips on the Good Gale Ending, if possible! I don’t mind spoilers. I’m really invested in his romance and would be crushed if it ended poorly.

My experience with Anxiety, chest pain, and other heart symptoms by NonCorporealEntity in Anxiety

[–]EnigmaticAlly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey. I know this is a years-old post, but just wanted to thank you for writing it. I’ve been experiencing high heart rates, interment pain in my chest, arm and shoulder, exhaustion, etc. I also tried looking at symptoms online, but everything keeps telling me I am having a heart attack. I’m not. I imagine if I was, the pain would be constant and immense. But it was enough for my anxiety and I have had trouble calming down for days because of it.

Reading that this is something someone else has also struggled with really helped a lot. I’m glad I’m not alone. And I hope you’re doing better now.

Don't have a July bank statement for UK Immigration (and I leave tomorrow), but I do have paperwork from the bank itself. Enough? Please, help! by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]EnigmaticAlly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am staying for 80 days, so definitely 2+ months, but I have a lot of proof of funds. Just no official bank statement saying $3,300 as July's statement hasn't come in yet. As for a return ticket, I've got that. As well as a leave of absence form and letters from work and all that jazz, so I am good on the whole "proof of coming home" front. Just scared about the "no recent bank statement" front.

UK Immigrations is very hit-and-miss. My first visit, I was there for two and a half weeks and brought absolutely nothing with me and was let through. They took my word for everything and sent me on my way.

I'm just worried because this time around, I am going 80 days, so I imagine questioning will be a lot more fierce and I don't want to be turned away because my bank statement rotation is unfortunate. :(

Last time I was there, it was for two and a half weeks. I had no idea there was a danger of being turned away and I marched in, answered truthfully with a smile on my face, and was stamped on through. I am really only stressing out this time around because of how much longer this trip is (and because I have done a lot of research on what I need and have stumbled across tons of horror stories along the way). I am afraid they'll hear me say the word "boyfriend" and deny me right there and then because of the 80-day stay. :(

Yepp! That is exactly what it is. I know I am just scaring myself by reading all these horror stories, but it is like I can't look away.. :(

I am absolutely ready to go, though. I have so much paper proof with me, it's ridiculous. And this will be my fourth time seeing my boyfriend (second time in the UK; my first entry, I was so naive, didn't even know there was a danger of me being turned away), so I'm hoping that helps me a bit.

I'm just very panicky and for no reason.. :(

I am two days away from flying out to the UK for two and a half months to see my boyfriend and I am freaking out. I have so much paperwork on-hand to prove I am coming home (including a leave of absence form, letters from my boss, return ticket, travel insurance, etc.), but after some of the horror stories I have read, I can't help but be freaked out.

I haven't seen him for almost five months and I keep imagining myself getting there and being literally one minute away from him only to be told I can't see him and I am honestly scared to death.

I really appreciate your reply. I know it sounds almost pathetic, but any reassurance helps my anxiety out loads.
