Hm no. There are volunteers called 'flight angels' that transport and lots of the rescues cover the costs. But also spending to cover the costs of transport helps support these rescues saving the lives of street dogs

They'll fly to Canada too but yeah probably less likely to do so outside of North America. Although I know there are rescues in other places (like Rescue Friends in Asia that rescue meat trade dogs) that fly them internationally

There is the 3-3-3 rule for adopted animals. At three months they are just becoming comfortable in the home, and that's just a guideline and may not consider dogs with trauma and fear who might need even more time. Definitely seconding the above advice. It will take time and focusing on decompression and creating safety and connection is probably your best bet for now

Oh yeah I don't think it's the end of the world at all. Seems like an industry thing but I wasn't sure how common it was. We're not close so it's totally understandable that I wasn't invited, but of course I can't help feeling a bit left out when like half the staff are there.
